Really? What sort of work do they want them to do in your average suburban neighbourhood? What sort of work will the dog of an 18 year old guy living at home, who needed his parents permission to get a dog, need to perform? Do you think someone in that situation, who doesn't have fencing secure enough to contain a "working dog" is the kind of owner the breed needs to move ahead? Personally I think the fact that the breed IS banned is what attracts a certain type of buyer.. the "oh wow, I've got a dog so dangerous its illegal to own one" brigade. All the more reason to ditch BSL. who are you to state that im 18? dont state my age if you DONT know it.

Ive fed raw for at least one meal per day since i got my pup. never feed raw and kibble at the same time because i heard they digest at different rates. ive noticed a few people talking about feeding chicken mince, is this chicken frame mince? if so i brought a kilo the other day and will be feeding it as soon as the beef mince runs out. what other raw would be suggested for a puppy?? would liver and kidneys be to rich for now

no he should get money together and abide by the law for the dogs sake. Socialise it, obedience train it and make it a model citizen. Not hide it, falsify its breeding and chain it in the backyard so it cant jump the fence. well by not hiding it it will be a restricted breed, therefor caged all day ( even tho one of my first option but have looked into it more and will not be doing it) and when out of cage, muzled and can never be of the leash. And the leash can not be held by someone younger than 18.

just a council regestration, on the NSW website i just checked it sed i need the microchip form and thats pretty much it, i always thought i needed to have the perants forms but that must be for a pedigree regestration only. Once a dog is registered as a certian breed can it be disputed later on? and on what grounds can i fight it? I just explained in the other thread that you can chip and register your dog as any breed or cross that you believe it to be. This will not however prevent your dog from coming under ranger scrutiny. Things are getting tougher in NSW and with the latest attack and death they are set to get a lot worse. Be aware that any ranger anywhere in NSW can stop you whilst in public ( or come to your home ) and issue you with an Notice Of Intent to declare your dog to be of a restricted breed. Your avenue of appeal is via a breed assessor. They are mostly Dogs NSW judges, who will assess your dog , at your expense. If you take this option, there is NO means of appeal if they consider your dog to be a Pit Bull or a cross bred Pit. If breed assessed as an APBT, the chip details will be changed and you will be required to comply with the child proof enclosure, muzzle and leash requirements. If ruled a restricted breed cross, you can they at your own expense have your dog temperament assessed ( by DGL approved list of assessors ), if it passes it can live as per a normal dog. Fail TT and it's the enclosure , muzzle and leash for the rest of it's life. So in a nutshell you can do what you like, but if you walk your dog on the street or a neighbour dobs you in for having a restricted breed, it's in the hands or essentially one person to decide you dogs fate, unless you have an aweful lot of money to chuck around and go to court. If you purchase any bull breed or cross without ANKC registration papers, you could well find yourself appealing an NOI , all at your costs. thanks, so to cut thing shots, im stuffed?

i would keep her indise but not my house therfore not my rules, it took my long enough to convince my perants to get a dog let alone keep it inside, ive go a granny flat out back, il see if i can convince them to section of a room and keep her in there when im not home, its very big and she has no way to get out at all

thinking on a dog run woruld be the better option, athough i would prefer no restrictios at all. Have not thought about an inside dog ever, smell, ripping furiture apart. But it could be a option if the pros outweight the cons

since Ive brought my 8 week pup home she has been sleeping in a box in my room at night and during the day hangs around the living room. she will eat and drink on the veranda (a sliding door leading form the living room). she also wont really eat unless someone is with her, but is become more independent on that. when i put her out side for a bit she will cry and whine, i know 8 weeks is to young to put her outside but i need her to start getting used to it as she will be an outside dog. any advice on this please?

Sydking .... is there a reason why you want her to learn to toilet on newspaper? I mean, do your living arrangements (eg. flat/unit) dictate that your pup does not have access to a yard area? If she does, why teach her it's ok to soil inside on a newspaper only to then later have to train her out of soiling inside on a newspaper? I'm not a fan of that 'intermediatary' step, unless there's a really good reason for it. Oh .... and it is "crate", not "create". And crate training is only an aid to toilet training. You still need to toilet train, which means getting up and taking your pup out for a toilet break frequently. Every two hours is what I recommend in the first couple of days, gradually extending that in half hour increments until puppy is more able to hold on. the newspaper is not and inside thing, when i will be taking her out side every so often i will direct her to the newspaper. Since i have quite a big back yard by her pooping on the newspaper area it will save me walking all around the yard picking up poop when i can just clean the one designated area. i will be crate training at night in my room in a milk crate and i have a door form my room directly to the front which will make things alot easier.

sounds like you know what your doing. i really want to start my pup on barf, ive done alot of research but still a bit confused. Any feeding plans or recipes you could help me with becasue the last thing i want to do is not give my growing pup enough nutrients that its needs. have you had any pups on barf?
-
seeing as create training is to toilet train, during they day or even at night if she poos somewhere ive heard i just pick the poop up and place it on a pile of newspaper in the location i want her to poop. Then every time she poops i take her to the new papers and she will eventually lean were to poop.

could i just use a milk create? with a soft blanket on the floor and the mil create covering her?
