Its funny...i didnt really notice anyone outside of the ring!! i may have looked up and semi payed attention, but i honestly had no idea. my whole focus when i am grooming, is the dog!! i honestly dont notice much else lol...i dont think you will ever truly know how much this means to me!! its such a worth while award, and its honestly a shame it took such a tragedy to even get the ball moving on an award that rewards groomers for their handling and care! it should be something that was brought out years ago!! we all need to take care with the pets in our care!! it really is a true honour to have won, and especially to be the first!! i hope more people will be aware of their handling and care on a daily basis like i try to, and i hope i can win this award many more times!! thank you for your strength and courage, Caraoline and Leah :)

This past weekend there was a dog grooming competition called GroomQuest, held at the Castle Hill showgrounds in Sydney. It was an absolutely amazing weekend! lots of dogs to see being groomed and lots of fun being had by all! They had an award in honour of Buddy, the golden retriever that died in the grooming salon. Personally, i felt this was an awesome idea and was so proud to be a part of something that honoured a very much loved family furkid! I am honoured and so proud to say that i am the 1st recipient of this prestigious award! its all i can think about, knowing that someone who has been through such a horrible time with such a horrific event, could come out of their way to watch us groom, and to then be recognised for my handling and care which i strive for on a daily basis, WOW! i just wanted to post this up here, in the hopes of reaching Buddys family, to tell them how honoured i am to have even been considered for this amazing award, let alone to win it!! thank you so so much, you will never know what this has meant to me! its the best honour award i have ever won in my entire career. The first thing i did today was get it engraved! it will be high and proud in my salon, and i hope this will be the first of many times i will have the honour of receiving this award. thank you thank you thank you

Hehe well yeah true...but they have a grain free version which is great! i never really looked into Canidae as i was always happy with Eaglepack cos my dogs always done fantastic on it! but Canidae seems to be just as good if not better so whatever i can do to make my dog as healthy as possible is a bonus! p.s yes, he does get raw food on occasion (i do know thats the ultimate way to go but he reacts to most foods in "raw" form so i tend to go the dry and he has no issues) Thanks so much for your help :)

thats fine as it will be mixed with the higher fat of the chicken and lamb flavours from the eaglepack :) looked at the others and they should be fine to mix with this one too :) I want the lower fat as i said cos he doesnt need the high fat content of the others alone, this kinda balances it out for him. he does quite well on the reduced fat mixed with the others. The Canidae is actually much cheaper for me to get than the Eaglepack which i was surprised at, so if he does well on it ill stick to it. Its holistic too which is important to me :)

the Canidae Platinum...seniors and overweight :)
-
Thanks for that Telida :) hes a Heeler x Coolie, 5 years old, healthy, not overweight, and moderate exercise. Completely unfussy with food lol
-
possibly lol but im more wondering what is a good range for a dogs health...some foods are very high in certain foods and i dont want him getting sick of course
-
Im wondering if someone could please tell me the differences between Canidae and Eaglepack in terms of Protein levels etc? my dog has ALWAYS been fed Eaglepack, but yet again its much harder to get it. He has always been fed a mixture of the Chicken/Lamb and Reduced fat...Today i thought i would try the reduced fat/weight loss Canidae as i couldnt get the Eaglepack... Where would i find the info for the percentage of each food content and how high is too high (eg i think the canidae has 20% protein...)is that high? what levels should i be looking at? My dog is by no means overweight, the reduced fat is purely to balance out the high fat content of the chicken flavour as he doesnt need the high fat content. Thanks in advance :)

Ive bought from D n D pet foods, i do tend to buy in big bulk lots. their food is pretty decent, but i did struggle with it as they come in big buckets, unfrozen, so i had to put everything into the sized portions i wanted then freeze it all. ive also bought from Fresh4Paws and her stuff is absolutely fantastic, and she can bag it for you into the amount you need, and is always fresh. However, i cant seem to be able to find her website anymore so dont knkow whats going on there

he LOVES the attention he gets from it! he goes around prancing up to everyone trying to show them how pretty he looks! its hilarious lol :D

I am just curious of a number of your claims. “if the product is more expensive, that means its better quality” I would say do your research as this is not always the case. And what you mean the “the real deal” ok so it was a a generalisation but generally better quality IS more expensive...and "the real deal" meaning Pupkus put their lologs on all their products and are constantly improving (speaking from experience buying from them then a year later them having a newer, better, more improved version of the product - with the logo)...whereas if you look at pictures of the "same" product there is no "pupkus" logo on there, which means it is NOT the same product (as in pupkus have not supplied to them, otherwise the same said logo would be on the products)...hence just why i say to please do research before buying...thats all i meant by that...by all means, go to each supplier and ask questions on price and why its so different, then you can make your own informed decision and buy from whoever you think is best
-
absolutely not at all im just a great fan of supporting those in the indutry trying to run a legitamit loyal business and have bought many of their products and believe in spreading the word when theres a great product and company out there...why do i have to be related to say good things about a product...all im saying is do your research as there are alot of replicates out there that people claim to be the real deal

A friend of mine purchased a dryer from Pupkus at the recent pet expo and then found out they could have got it from Clipper World much cheaper. I probably worded that wrong a Pupkus manufactured dryer is what I meant to say. Exellent product. Pupkus dryers have the "pupkus" logo on them. they are the real deal, better manufactured, (not a copy that alot of people have complaints with). Basically, with any grooming product, you get what you pay for! if the product is more expensive, that means its better quality. BEWARE OF CHEAPER KNOCKOFFS! you will also get the service with the Pupkus people that so badly lacks from some suppliers in this industry. You'll never have an issue with the Pupkus range of ANYTHING!! not sure about that $300 price tho?? my dryer was cheaper than that from Pupkus and ive never had an issue...
