Is there a noise in the turbo, transmission or gearbox? (like a high pitched sound) I can sometimes hear that type of noise in some heavy vehicles and it drives me nuts. If there is you could try putting in some additive that your local transmission/gearbox specialist recommends. Worth a go.

It is unfortunate but the breeder cannot be reported to anyone TA. Unless the breeder is a member of an organisation like the Canine Control Council or a specific incorporated dog-group...in which case they can have their membership revoked as they have broken the organisation's constitutional rules. The breeder (in this case) can sell the pups at whatever age they like. The '8 weeks old for sale' is only a recommendation by RSPCA or Councils and there is nothing the RSPCA or Councils can do about it. I would be very happy if I can be corrected on my post.

if these are the pups at Shailer Park the breeder has not mentioned any health checks I also find it odd that they couldn't spell Shailer Park correctly if they are live there

maybe a good idea to purchase a food-grade bowl from a kitchen shop or K-mart, the plant pots may have glazes made from lead and cadmium so using them as water bowls may not be the best of ideas. You are probably best with stainless steel (or just let the dog paw the water...he will get sick of doing it one day) :)

Documents obtained by The Sunday Times reveal Agriculture Department boss Rob Delane was told of a case last year where medical histories did not support the destruction of some pets. "It is unclear whether the RSPCA had sufficient grounds to destroy these animals," a briefing note for Mr Delane dated May 2013 said The briefing notes were prepared for Mr Delane after the RSCPA seized 130 animals from a woman's property in December 2012. The RSCPA has accused the woman of animal cruelty. The notes prepared for Mr Delane warn the RSCPA's processes were "inadequate". The briefing note came after Mr Delane wrote to the RSPCA inspector involved in the case in April to warn they could be charged. "Based on the information provided by the RSPCA recently, you appear to have failed to meet your statutory obligations under section 41 (2) and may also have exceeded your powers in other areas," he said in the letter dated April 16. Revelations of the documents come as a former RSPCA regional inspector, who asked not to be named, also expressed concerns about the treatment of animals by the organisation. The inspector, who resigned last year, said she would regularly try to rehome animals in country areas rather than bring them to the Perth shelter because she feared they would be put down. "I wouldn't take my animals up there," she said. "Some puppies would get put down at eight weeks and they would say they had behavioural problems," she said. The criminal proceedings against the woman for animal cruelty and confining or restraining an animal in a manner that may cause harm will be heard in the Perth Magistrates Court on February 11. The woman has also launched civil proceedings against the RSPCA in the State Administrative Tribunal for a review of the decision to take her animals. The matter is still before the tribunal. RSPCA state chief executive David van Ooren said no disciplinary action had been taken and the allegations in the report had not been substantiated. I was just wondering how the hair would get into her mouth/gut. Is it her hair or one of the other dogs? she may be ingesting hair from one of the others, is it dog hair or is it hair from a fluffy toy?...I can now imagine you poking around in her poo to identify the type of hair within :laugh:

make sure that the peanut butter has peanut oil in it as many have the oil removed and palm oil substituted. Many health food shops make their own peanut paste from grinding up fresh peanut in-store. Dick Smith have peanut paste that has Australian grown peanuts, it is called OzEnuts

Is your dog biting herself Gretel? maybe bathe her in Calendula tea, she may have itchies, also add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (the non pasteurised ones like Melrose or Braggs) to her meals.

Mac was on Propalin for about a year and it works very well up to a month ago when he began to leave drips on the floor and on each of the 17 steps from the house to the ground. I took him back to the vet who checked Mac's urine: no sugars, protein or any nasties except his urine is diluted. I asked the vet about Stilbrestol, he said he hadn't tried it on male dogs but there was no harm in giving it a go for a few weeks, so Mac is now into day 3 of his lady-hormones :) If the Stilbrestol doesn't work I may try him on corn-silk capsules, though the vet said we may need to send off bloods to check other reasons...like Cushings, so we will wait for a few weeks to make a decision (the vet said that because the blood tests are rather expensive and sometimes need to be re-done several times as the results are not certain or definitive with just the one test)
