Have a container or plastic bag in the freezer compartment of your fridge and pop in all the cheese, chokkie, fast food wrappers, bones or whatever they can get their pokey noses into, then just chuck it out with the garbage on council garbage day. Voice of experience here after coming home to much the same disaster as dobesrock

This stuff is good, won't harm dogs, cats, fauna, birds, earthworms (or children). It is also GOOD for the garden as it contains Iron Chelate Milticrop Multiguard Slug and Snail Killer

I give my three (Westies) a chicken wing after their dog mince/vege slops each night. I cut the fat off from the trailing edge and shoulder-part. I usually buy them frozen, they come in a blue coloured bag and are small wings. I also give the little guys a chicken frame, with the tail and fat cut off, about once a week...they love them, they think they have made a major kill!

Yes, I know... it is a seal...not a dog. I hope they give these sentences for cruelty to dogs as well. The knobs won't do it again in a hurry, especially now their names are published! http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/breakin...f-1225952738727 A 20-year-old man has become the first person to be jailed in New Zealand for an attack on a leopard seal, described by a judge as an "inhumane" act. Harley David McKenzie was sentenced to four months' jail after appearing before Judge Kevin Phillips in the Invercargill District Court today, on a charge of taking a leopard seal and injuring it. McKenzie was caught out by the Department of Conservation (DoC) after photos were put on Facebook of him and two friends attacking a protected leopard seal in October last year, the Southland Times reported. Judge Phillips said it was a barbaric, inhumane act. "The seal was clearly distressed and at one stage it lost consciousness ... it is atrocious behaviour," he said. The three men saw the seal as they were driving past Te Waewae Bay, on the coast of Southland, and after stopping, began filming themselves throwing rocks at it before dragging it down a beach. McKenzie's friends Michael William Matthews, 23, and Phillip Ray Horrell, 24, were fined $NZ5000 ($3,910) and $NZ7000 ($5,474) on the same charge when sentenced last month. The maximum penalty for the charge under the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978 is six months in jail or a $NZ250,000 ($195,519) fine.

Jed, where are the Cav's now? I have a feeling they are in the Kingaroy area? If you need someone to pick them up and take them to Brisbane to hook-up with someone for their temporary home, we can perhaps do that. We are on Russell Island but have a car on the mainland and have a couple of crates.

Woo Hoo, now he is in custody! (for today anyhow) http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/breakin...f-1225948206593 A 33-year-old man is in custody after failing to appear in court over charges related to the theft of a prize-winning chihuahua from the Royal Adelaide Show. Harry, valued at about $5000, went missing from his cage at the Adelaide show in September, but was found safe and well about three weeks later. Khuong Dinh Tran was charged with dishonestly receiving the dog, but failed to show at the Holden Hill Magistrates Court yesterday. A magistrate issued a warrant for his arrest and police today said a man from suburban Northfield was arrested overnight. He was refused bail and was expected to appear in court today. Harry went missing from the show while his owner Kylie Sunman was just metres away. At the time, show spokeswoman Michelle Hocking said it appeared the person responsible knew what he was after, with Harry winning a prize in his category. Related Coverage Man charged with theft of Harry Adelaide Now, 1 Oct 2010 'Harry' reunited with owner Adelaide Now, 28 Sep 2010 Ms Hocking said the incident was surprising considering how vigilant owners were over their pets. This is the bit in the Adelaide paper...... http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-a...3-1225933005087 click on the link, there is a great photo of Harry and Kylie A NORTHFIELD man has been charged with the theft of Harry the chihuahua. Detectives arrested the man, 33, earlier tonight and charged him over the theft of the little dog from the Royal Adelaide Show on September 8. The man has been bailed to appear in the Holden Hill Magistrates Court on November 4. Harry was found safe and well at Northfield on Tuesday and has since been returned to his owner. edited to fix spelling

You may be interested ----Deals Direct have Canine Cooler® Thermo-regulating Pet Beds for sale, 3 sizes for different prices, and $2 shipping, I bought a couple of mediums last year of this brand I found the mediums are a better size for the Westies...they can really stretch out them. I think they are a bit dearer than last year but the price is worth it as this brand is pretty good, and the dogs love them!

Yesterday I had reported the ad to the site manager (dunno if that is the correct title but it'll do ) and checked this morning via my saved link and re-reported it, then a little notice appeared saying "Posting already deleted. Thank you!" A good thing really, hope no-one sent her money (though I am disappointed as I feel I am going to lose Frida Lopez as my friend now). -
