Yep, thank you for the thank you Jed. Glad you love the quilt (it is just wonderful isn't it)

Plain white vinegar would probably do the trick and kill the yeast, but you could always lash out and buy some of that nice balsamic (red or white) from Aldi or even better buy some organic non-pasteurised apple cider vinegar (with the 'mother' in it) that way you can pop a little into their food or use it yourself when making your own mayo...it is a great cure-all (bit expensive though...around $8-->$10 for 500 ml)

Yep, they pay their own way

I know I am going off topic and apologise but what is the 'stem cell' process ? I would also like more info...if you could possibly be kind enough to start a new thread so we don't hijack this one...sounds interesting.

they may have eaten it because it has hairy leaves...they may find it's the ideal way to make them huck-up. Penny always eats the leaves of a pretty pink fluffy flowered creeper, the leaves on it are serrated and provide a good stomach irritant for the hoped-for huck.

Why do you put it in your dogs food when it has the potential to do so much harm when taken internally? Hi Becks, I have always used it,(though that doesn't mean much I realise :-D ) from years ago when farming in NZ and for many years when we had a farm in Qld (goats as well as poultry of all kinds). I mostly made up an ointment but did give small amounts to the birds and animals...the chooks used to peck a little of it when they were allowed in the garden. If you read further down the link (about 3/4 way dawn), the paragraph that begins with "I was perhaps responsible for 95% of the comfrey in Australia, having introduced the plant to this country in 1954," it will explain more than I can. This is also an interesting link regarding the ban on comfrey, though the author is a little anti drug companies http://merrilynhope.com/living-without-vitamins/ sandgrubber...you can blame Foster Savage who is the bloke who was responsible for 95% of the comfrey in Australia

Has anyone used, or is familiar with this product?...I saw it advertised on TradeMe (NZ ebay) when I was doing a search for Juliette de Bairacli Levi books, it looked pretty good as daily add-to-their-food product. I have popped in the link here for interest only rather than a link to buy from this seller http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=375111565

This video is interesting, especially the comment on using oatmeal shampoo/soap for itchy skin caused by yeast infections. I don't know about the tea tree shampoo though, it tends to dry the skin out a tad. http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2011/05/03/eating-these-foods-can-make-your-dog-itch-like-crazy.aspx

I remember reading a children's book to my son (years ago) it was called Bill and Stanley...I think the dog in that was a Bull Terrier...anyhow they shared chocolate drops and got dirty..it was a good book (apart from the chocolate drop sharing )

I have it growing as well, I usually put in a leaf when I am making the HUGE container of dog vegie slops. It is also yummy if you dip the leaf in an egg batter and fry it...tastes like fish. here is some info http://www.herbsarespecial.com.au/free-her...on/comfrey.html scroll down until the section:However, there is a major problem: Comfrey for internal use was prohibited in Australia by legislation, which placed it on the Poisons Schedule. Why did comfrey fall to such a fate? makes interesting reading. I make up an ointment of crushed up comfrey leaf and aloe vera gel which helps in healing.

I have a feeling that this discussion is going to go to a 'blame the OP' mode by some posters...well give it a break...dobesrock now has no dogs, her family has broken hearts and there is now a big empty place in their back-yard where the dogs used to play...so stop pickin' eh!

Dogs are allowed on the BITS ferries http://www.transitsystems.com.au/display/4...nd-registration (scroll to near the bottom of the page), they now have to wear muzzles as the bogans were not controlling their dogs who were fighting on the ferries...having to put a muzzle on your dog is a small price to pay for BITS allowing them onboard free of charge i reckon.

The Courier Mail this morning, in the 'Breaking news' section...bad spelling, messy sentence structure (though they may realise their gaffe and fix it) Qeen gives the presents on her birthday http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/breakin...f-1226043187556 I saw an ad for a mincher terrier a while back, I even Googled it as I wondered what it looked like

I live an hour east of Brisbane Dancinbcs (by the way you forgot to add the 'g' in your siggie :-D ) check out the Southern Moreton Bay islands http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Moreton_Bay_Islands and we didn't flood in the Brizzie floods either (and I know that last sentence is grammatically bad bad bad ) Fair enough, except this breeder is not on an island but is actually west of Brisbane. My siggie is the first 6 letters of my prefix with BCs on the end and there is no "g" in the prefix because it is a combination of parts of names, nothing to do with dancing anyway. ;) I knew that :-D and besides BCs do dance

''just'' is a good thing. Chicken frames (carcasses) are excellant dog food - wish they'd sell them whole as cheaply as they sell them minced The Lenards I get mine from only charges 30c a frame, or $1.25 a kilo for them minced...Its a bit of a drive from where I live but lately Ive been working right next door, its great! and the staff are so friendly, they never make you feel bad for just buying dog stuff there What Lenards shop do you go to GoldenGirl?..I did ask at the one at Victoria Point about turkey products and what went into their pet mince but the spotty youth at the counter was a bit of a knob and didn't know (more interested in his mobile phone messages). I go to Capalaba Petfoods, they have chicken-wing mince there which the dogs love and they (petfood shop, not the dogs) got me in a big box of turkey necks (Ingam human-grade) that I will mince up today (if the mincer I bought off ebay arrives)
