  2. otters, salmon, haggis, oats soaked in scotch, sporrans and bagpipes "Look master, we have slain the drear plaid beastie!"
  3. Try Ebay or 'Quicksales'...I bought some cards from this person in England who sells dog vintage postcards...postage to Oz was only 2 pounds ($3.08357) http://stores.ebay.com.au/k9kards
  4. poor pup and what a couple of drunken skanks
  5. I am pretty sure that somewhere there is a law that cruelty to WHWT is a hanging offense so compounded with the other breeds I would reckon their time upon this earth will be a short one.
  6. 1/2 teaspoon of the herb could be mixed with a little hot water to soften the dried leaves, and added to the dogs wet food daily. I use the dried stems as well and usually leave it to steep overnight You can buy it from Shipards Herb farm, Nambour Qld I have copied & pasted the details she sent to me....50 gram pkts of each herb $10 each and pack and post would be $10 We also have plants of these herbs, as people like to get them growing to have for future use. Here are a couple of suppliers (I originally bought my seeds & dried from Shipard's as they were helpful with info) http://www.herbsarespecial.com.au/free-herb-information.html http://www.herbcottage.com.au/dried-herb-robert.html
  7. A pity Quattro didn't bite his knackers off afterwards.
  8. If you are having trouble cutting up the tongue just part freeze it then it is easy- peasy to cut.
  9. Hahahaha... #6 photo of the CATS adviser from the Situation Room. What a hoot this photo--->
  10. Yep, thank you for the thank you Jed. Glad you love the quilt (it is just wonderful isn't it)
  11. Plain white vinegar would probably do the trick and kill the yeast, but you could always lash out and buy some of that nice balsamic (red or white) from Aldi or even better buy some organic non-pasteurised apple cider vinegar (with the 'mother' in it) that way you can pop a little into their food or use it yourself when making your own mayo...it is a great cure-all (bit expensive though...around $8-->$10 for 500 ml)
  12. I did a quick Google search and this is about the cheapest http://herbsupplies.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=93 Some of the other shops are selling it for $6-->$8 for 50g
  13. Yep, they pay their own way
  14. Deals Direct have some on special, I hope it's ok to pop in the link here http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/search/newpetbeds/?cm_mmc=newsletter-_-20110513-_-search-_-6589
  15. I know I am going off topic and apologise but what is the 'stem cell' process ? I would also like more info...if you could possibly be kind enough to start a new thread so we don't hijack this one...sounds interesting.
  16. they may have eaten it because it has hairy leaves...they may find it's the ideal way to make them huck-up. Penny always eats the leaves of a pretty pink fluffy flowered creeper, the leaves on it are serrated and provide a good stomach irritant for the hoped-for huck.
  17. try Green Harvest Sublime...here is the link for the comfrey (it's 4th down)it's unable to be sent to WA & TAS http://greenharvest.com.au/Plants/SpringFoodPlants.html Shipards herb farm also sell it http://herbs-to-use.com/herbs-for-sale/herbs-culinary-other-spices-aromatics-companion-plants.html
  18. Yep, I found that interesting as well Frodo's mum, we look at info and oatmeal shampoo is usually recommended to soothe itchy skin...it would be fine if it's not a yeast problem. It's good to know that the old faithful vinegar (cider would be best I reckon) has been mentioned in the video.
  19. Why do you put it in your dogs food when it has the potential to do so much harm when taken internally? Hi Becks, I have always used it,(though that doesn't mean much I realise :-D ) from years ago when farming in NZ and for many years when we had a farm in Qld (goats as well as poultry of all kinds). I mostly made up an ointment but did give small amounts to the birds and animals...the chooks used to peck a little of it when they were allowed in the garden. If you read further down the link (about 3/4 way dawn), the paragraph that begins with "I was perhaps responsible for 95% of the comfrey in Australia, having introduced the plant to this country in 1954," it will explain more than I can. This is also an interesting link regarding the ban on comfrey, though the author is a little anti drug companies http://merrilynhope.com/living-without-vitamins/ sandgrubber...you can blame Foster Savage who is the bloke who was responsible for 95% of the comfrey in Australia
  20. Has anyone used, or is familiar with this product?...I saw it advertised on TradeMe (NZ ebay) when I was doing a search for Juliette de Bairacli Levi books, it looked pretty good as daily add-to-their-food product. I have popped in the link here for interest only rather than a link to buy from this seller http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=375111565
  21. This video is interesting, especially the comment on using oatmeal shampoo/soap for itchy skin caused by yeast infections. I don't know about the tea tree shampoo though, it tends to dry the skin out a tad. http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2011/05/03/eating-these-foods-can-make-your-dog-itch-like-crazy.aspx
  22. I remember reading a children's book to my son (years ago) it was called Bill and Stanley...I think the dog in that was a Bull Terrier...anyhow they shared chocolate drops and got dirty..it was a good book (apart from the chocolate drop sharing )
