  1. Perhaps try turkey necks, ask your pet food supply shop. My pet food shop gets them in from a distributer who buys them direct from Ingams in North Qld. They are human food-grade and there is 14kg in the box.
  2. I am so sorry that your little sweetie is no longer with you BBB. I know he was your special boy. RIP little Bazzy-Mate

  5. I emailed them last week to ask them the ingredients breakdown on Pernease powder as they has a special on (Sacha's Blend ingredients and percentages were there, but not Pernease powder) I received an email back within a couple of hours listing the ingredients and percentages and also note to say they were exactly the same. It's good to know that someone is on the receiving end of the emails and will read them, then send you a sensible answer.
  6. perhaps we could have a ratting play-date? http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/army-of-rats-the-size-of-possums-invade-goodna/story-e6freoof-1226072746676 Army of rats 'the size of possums' invade Goodna * From: The Courier-Mail * June 10, 2011 6:39AM Rats in the ranks: These unwelcome visitors are running amok in flood-ravaged suburbs around Brisbane. Source: The Advertiser A PLAGUE of giant rats has invaded at least one outer-Brisbane suburb ravaged by floods. Ipswich City Council has already reacted to the vermin explosion and is planning to use a fox-terrier canine force to hunt down and kill the rats, which have been rrported in homes around Goodna, the Queensland Times reports. The vermin have doubled in numbers since January’s flood and, with the cooler weather setting in, are now nesting in people’s homes. Goodna resident Keiron Butler told the Queensland Times there had been a surge in rats on his property. “Some are as big as possums, they’re massive things,” Mr Butler said.[/color] And to top it off there is a picture of a 'giant rat'
  7. I bought some off a wonderful seller on ebay...the auction had 8 days to go but she sold me a fat quarter for the starting price anyway. I hope to get it tomorrow so will cut it up ad post off asap. it is neat looking dog piccies...no calendulas (though the bum of the poodle looks a bit like a calendula flower) :-D
  8. I caught some of it on the news last night...the dog is home (good!) but still has no collar or tag (not so good)...perhaps the TV channel can buy the owners one.
  9. I saw a Llama tied up outside Freemasons hotel just the other week poor bugger had a NSW scarf wrapped around its neck too. I know the police booked that guy who always rode his horse through the main street and up to the Freemasons at night...if I can remember correctly they booked him for having transport with no tail light
  10. A few years back, when I lived in Gympie, I was at the plaza/mall and a teenage girl and her mother were carrying around a kangaroo joey wrapped up in a cloth. The poor little bugger had only the finest covering of fur, had it's head stuck out of the cloth and was shivering.
  11. I have had those calls as well...I just laughed and then said something rude about how Telstra wouldn't give anyone even a $1 discount on their bill let alone 50%...bunch of D***k heads
  12. I'll check that out tomorrow Akay, thanks very much. I'm just gunna go and hunt for some fat quarter material for Erny's patchwork quilt...I think there is some with westies on it for sale in 'quicksales' :D

  14. Penny and Mac are now OAP's and though they still seem fairly supple I think it may be time to pop them onto something like Sacha's Blend or similar. They do get home made BARF and I mix in cold pressed olive oil (Aldi brand, made in Oz and only $19.99 4L) when I make up the big batch of vegie slops. They also get linseed meal sprinkled on their tea in their evenings. I got a 50g pkt of Sacha's Blend in that offer that was advertised on DOL a while back so I have been putting that on their food as well (it smells wonderful :-D ) Is Sacha's the best one to get price/quality wise or is there an alternative that anyone has tried and found helpful?
  15. Penny is the only dog I have had that gets matts on her elbows. I thought I kept them all pretty tangle free (especially their armpits) but I found little matts on her elbows
  16. this is what usually happens to me when I buy stuff...I bought a shower nozzle, on special, it made the water go rainbow colours (It has a rotating lit-up coloured wheel inside)...it worked but had such a high-pitched shriek that we pulled all the guts out and used it to water the garden.
  17. Some of you may be interested...they seem cheap enough. For really cold dogs :D http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/search/heatedpetjackets/?cm_mmc=newsletter-_-20110603-_-search-_-8670

  19. Try Ebay or 'Quicksales'...I bought some cards from this person in England who sells dog vintage postcards...postage to Oz was only 2 pounds ($3.08357) http://stores.ebay.com.au/k9kards
  20. poor pup and what a couple of drunken skanks
  21. I am pretty sure that somewhere there is a law that cruelty to WHWT is a hanging offense so compounded with the other breeds I would reckon their time upon this earth will be a short one.
  22. 1/2 teaspoon of the herb could be mixed with a little hot water to soften the dried leaves, and added to the dogs wet food daily. I use the dried stems as well and usually leave it to steep overnight You can buy it from Shipards Herb farm, Nambour Qld I have copied & pasted the details she sent to me....50 gram pkts of each herb $10 each and pack and post would be $10 We also have plants of these herbs, as people like to get them growing to have for future use. Here are a couple of suppliers (I originally bought my seeds & dried from Shipard's as they were helpful with info) http://www.herbsarespecial.com.au/free-herb-information.html http://www.herbcottage.com.au/dried-herb-robert.html
