  1. If Evolving comes with Alera, we have 10!! (no pressure Evolving...lol)
  2. Glad you can make it, looking forward to seeing how big Leo has grown again! Hope you can make it Evolving, is Echo in season? Sorry you're busy Kirst, but have fun, and hopefully we'll meet your gorgeous baby next time! Looking forward to seeing you all! See you next time! How exciting! It's about time you guys got a new puppy! LC- glad you can come!! jrm, was thinking we'd do a bbq this time, as it's been a while, so if it's not too much trouble, perhaps some snags or another salad? Otherwise, I'm sure your cheese and biccies would go down just fine. Hey SG, as LC said, minimum is 10. Don't know what everyone else is thinking, but perhaps if it's only the minimum coming, we would forget the bbq? Maybe just bring our own lunches? How about we decide on Saturday? Hopefully see you all soon LM! m&m- Completely understandable, I hope you have a lovely day with your Mum, and happy Mother's Day to you also! xo
  3. Yay!!! Very excited to meet your little superstar and see Bronte and yourself again after so long!
  4. List of people and doggies pip1981- Dakota and Tika List of food pip1981- plates, cups, cutlery, condiments, marinated chicken wings
  5. Hi Everyone!! The next booked Kepala date is only a week away! As many of you are aware, this is on Mother's Day, but if we have enough people we will go ahead with the date, as booked. From memory, quite a few people were still able to attend on Mother's Day last year. My snowballs and I will be definitely be there this month! I hope to see you there! Now, the basics smile.gif For anyone who does want to come along, there a few things to know: 1. We are going to have fun and let the dogs have fun (this is a big one!) 2. If your dog is not so good with others, it is ok because there are other runs you can use 3. We want ALL the dogs to have fun, so no humping, fighting etc allowed. And as above there are other runs we can use. 4. The more the merrier 5. Not restricted to DOL members 6. $15.00 PER dog (Sorry, but there is no discount for bringing multiple dogs/puppies, its $15 a dog/puppy. Has been this way since we started). I will collect this and tick doggies off my list throughout the course of the day. 7. BYO drinks 8. We usually each bring something. 9. I am happy for those who do not bring food to pay $5.00 but i need to know how many are not bringing anything so I can make sure we have enough. Contact and Location Kepala Canine Country Club is located next door to Kepala Pet Resort. We are just off the Calder Hwy, directly opposite the Good Year Thunderdome. Refer to map below. Address: 55 Edwards Road, Diggers Rest. Melways map ref: 3, A1 http://www.kepalak9countryclub.com.au/About%20Us.htm For more info, feel free to ask in this thread or PM me
  6. Just letting everyone know I have officially cancelled tomorrow's meet, I really hope we can get back to normal next month! My girls will be looking forward to it heaps by then! Hi Pretty Miss Emma- would love to meet you and Kenzie at Kepala! It's definitely beneficial for both doggies and owners. Most of us are there from around 10am until 3pm or thereabouts. We break for lunch at about 12.30pm, you are welcome to attend at any time, but it's $15 per dog regardless of how much time you spend with us, and if you're joining us for lunch, you'll need to bring something to share or contribute $5. ;) YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!
  7. OK guys, the list is beginning to look a little lonely I will check the thread again at approx. 3pm, if no miracle has occurred I will regrettably call Kepala to cancel. Sorry to disappoint those wanting to attend, just seems it wasn't to be this month, we're missing quite a few regulars (myself included). If you still wish to attend as a small group (less than 10 dogs) may I suggest calling Kepala yourselves to book a run at the advertised prices. List of doggies Lucycharzie - Charlotte and maybe my friend Sam with her Wolfie Flash Pointees- maybe? List of food Lucycharzie - TBA Pointees- ?
  8. Hey Guys, Unfortunately we won't be able to come on Sunday. I will check in tomorrow afternoon and see if the list has reached 10 doggies, if not, I will have to call Kepala and cancel for this month. Hopefully for you and your dog's sake some more people will drop in to the thread! If it's just a small group of you, I would suggest just bringing finger food and snacks, so no one has to go and buy plates, etc. Sorry for the inconvenience guys. Good luck at the show LM!
  9. Hey Guys! Sorry to spitzbaby and Snout Girl, hopefully you can make it next time! And Snout Girl, hope all goes well on Friday! Turns out I may not be able to attend myself. It's not 100% confirmed yet, but my OH and I may be holding a market stall this Sunday to finally rid our house of some junk and make room for the new additon. I will be sure to keep you informed so someone else can bring the lunch necessities (plates, etc.). And someone else may need to play money collector. Sorry to be a pain...will confirm by Friday night! Hopefully some more people pop in and add themselves to the list to make sure we reach the minimum 10 doggies.
  10. List of doggies pip1981- Tika and Dakota List of food pip1981- cups, plates, cutlery, serviettes, and some food TBA
  11. Hi Guys!! Thought I may as well start the thread while I had some spare time, it's only just over a week away, seems to have come around really quickly! Hope to see many of you there!! Now, the basics smile.gif For anyone who does want to come along, there a few things to know: 1. We are going to have fun and let the dogs have fun (this is a big one!) 2. 12. All of the puppies are adorable.....but this is my fave!
  13. I have 2 desexed girls, one is 3.5 y.o, and the other is nearly 7 y.o. The younger girl was an only dog until about 8 months ago, and I never had a problem with her with any other dogs, entire or not, male or female. There has also be no sign of trouble between the girls or any other dogs since the older one came to live with us. I was always encouraged to get a male if we were ever to find a companion for the first dog, but I trusted my instinct that everything would be ok. An earlier poster mentioned early desexing, so I thought I would mention that both of my girls happened to be desexed at 6 months, prior to first season. Personally though, I feel it's a Samoyed's natural temperament to be this way if brought up as part of a family, because my younger girl's entire litter sister is also fine with other females.
  14. Hi Huski! My girls have these bowls http://www.ozpetshop.com.au/product_info.p...roducts_id/2029 and I love them. They are a really heavy plastic, with a rubberised base to stop them moving around. I have a large one for indoor water, and 2 medium ones for food. One pink and one red. Good luck finding what you want!
  15. Great pics Evolving! Echo looks a little foxy in the first shot, with her wet skinny legs...hehehe. Cute!
  16. Thanks for coming MRD, glad you all had a good time! We sure did!
  17. Great shots Alyra! Love Alfred's bucket topple!! Hahahaha Looking forward to more! We had a great day, all 3 of us are pooped. See you next time lappiemum!
  18. Hi Guys! Looks like we're good to go! To those that can't make it this month, I hope you have a nice weekend anyway, and we look forward to seeing you next time.. spitzbaby- I really hope Kairu's well enough to come, we've missed you both!! parrotpea- Good luck with Ruby's first show (and yours), and hopefully we'll see you both at another meet! MrRedDog- as far as I know we haven't had any Daccies at the Kepala meet before, and now we get spoiled with 4!!! Great, glad you can come! I'm going to make an executive decision, based on Sharon's comment, having a BBQ means someone misses out on some fun while cooking, so we'll just go with bringing a plate I think. Looks like we have 2 salads already, so if anyone's looking for ideas, perhaps some bread/rolls, maybe some cold meats, or even a sweet of some kind. List of people and dogs pip1981- Dakota and Tika Sharon - Rascal and maybe Roadie/Sax Kirst, John and maybe Kelly - Mo the grey boy LC - Charlotte jrm88 - Leo, Zoe keroppiyo - Buffy Mr Red Dog and Kirsten - Roxy, Bella, Chloe and Abby List of food pip1981- Quiche or zucchini slice, plates, cups, cutlery. Sharon - Happy with whatever eveyone else decides, plate leaves expert BBQers free to enjoy ! Kirst - Im happy with whatever u guys wanna do?? ill check back in and update LC - will bring a salad, and will think of what else to bring, cant think what else at the moment! jrm88 - $5 keroppiyo - some type of salad too. Sorry, will probably decide when I do the shopping. Mr Red Dog - $5
  19. Happy Birthday Sally!! Enjoy your pecan danish! Hehehe
  20. List of people and dogs pip1981- Dakota and Tika List of food pip1981- yet to decide, but will definitely bring plates, cups, cutlery and stuff as well. Do we want to do a BBQ this month, or just bring a plate like last month??

  22. Hi Iltby! As far as I'm aware the regular monthly Kepala meet is scheduled to go ahead on Sunday 13th, so that would work out perfect! We'd love to meet you! It doesn't look like anyone has started a thread for the meet yet, so this may as well be it! I'll cut and paste the info, and start up a list...
  23. Fantastic shots everyone, especially the shot of Alfred smiling in the agility tunnel!!
  24. No probs, I'm sure they'll find it. I didn't even know there was a silver box though, lol? Sorry for not making it clear who was collecting, we were a little disorganised this month, but for the record, usually Lappiemum (& her partner) or myself collect throughout the morning and lunch break, and then take the money up to the office after lunch. All good, thanks Alyra That was me and I happily gave Pip the money, but I didn't have everyone's names!! Sorry Pip - you can sack me from money collecting! Lol, I refuse to sack you, but I will bring a list (or at least a pen & paper) next time to help whoever is collecting! And I'll be needing some maternity leave around August...LOL. No probs Kirst, I remember John handing it over...lol...imagine if he was that sneaky...NO WAY, he's a sweetheart!
