Hi guys, just trying to gauge interest for the December meet early, as it coincides with the VicDogs 'Big day out for dogs' and the first annual Finnish Lapphund show at KCC Park. I know of some regulars that definitely won't be attending, but if we get enough people we can still go ahead! :D

I'm joining the 'less than perfect' coat brigade, Dakota is a bit naked, messy and dirty at the moment, my excuse is the arrival of my darling 'skin-kid', but she's still happy, and that's all that matters really! Plus, they're both off to my Sammy groomer on Monday, hehe, I'm cheating. Must say I'm keen to meet Barkly too, I fondly remember his cute puppy pics from when I was a little more active on DOL.

Yay! I'm getting excited now! It's been too long, Dakota's going to run wild!! Won't be bringing Tika, it's just a bit much for her now, and she doesn't seem to enjoy it as much as Dakota anyway. She'll just sleep all day instead. Sorry you can't make it Evolving, have fun at your niece's birthday! :D

Ok Kepala-ites, not many people have added themselves to the list since the other day, soooo, 'bring a plate' it is! Also, we only officially have 9 dogs! Hi Everyone! I've voted BBQ, just 'cos it's been so long, but like caninefriend, I agree that if there aren't many of us, bringing a plate is the sensible option. How 'bout we give it another couple if days to see how many of us are coming, then confirm what we're doing? I'll check in on Thursday night and make an executive decision based on numbers and votes. Hope the weather's nice!! :D

Just starting up the thread while I have the time! :D Have also added a poll for lunch, please only vote if you're attending lunch For anyone who does want to come along, there a few things to know: 1. We are going to have fun and let the dogs have fun (this is a big one!) 2. If your dog is not so good with others, it is ok because there are other runs you can use 3. We want ALL the dogs to have fun, so no humping, fighting etc allowed. And as above there are other runs we can use. 4. The more the merrier 5. Not restricted to DOL members 6. $15.00 PER dog (Sorry, but there is no discount for bringing multiple dogs/puppies, its $15 a dog/puppy. Has been this way since we started). 7. BYO drinks 8. We usually each bring something. 9. I am happy for those who do not bring food to pay $5.00 but i need to know how many are not bringing anything so I can make sure we have enough. Contact and Location Kepala Canine Country Club is located next door to Kepala Pet Resort. We are just off the Calder Hwy, directly opposite the Good Year Thunderdome. Refer to map below. How did it go today? I hope the weather was nicer there than it was here...and I hope the day was a success. Couldn't believe it, my car was fixed by 11.30am, such a simple problem, but we needed a mechanic friend to point it out to us! By then it was too late...I hope to make it next time! :D

Can't believe this, but I have to pull out again this month, my car has been overheating, thought we fixed the issue on Wednesday, but it seems we were wrong, and I can't get it to the mechanic until Tuesday! Very sad to be missing out once again, hope to join you next month! Just a friendly suggestion for those that haven't decided what to bring yet, if we want to go ahead with the BBQ idea, we'll need a few more essentials, like sausages or another meat, bread and salad. I hope I don't sound bossy, we can always just bring a plate if people don't want to have a BBQ? :D

YAY! We have at least 10 doggies coming, so, providing the weather is kind to us, it will definitely go ahead this month!! This is really just a reminder that the meet is only 9 days away, hopefully we can get even more people and doggies to join us!! :D p.s I'm excited to meet those we haven't met before, and some old favourites, hehe!

I hope so too LC! However, now that we have the little man to think of, we probably won't be able to come every month like we used to. I'll still try and come at least every second month I think. :D That's a shame, but we'll see you another time :D

Hi Girls, It's a bit sad, but we really don't have enough doggies. I managed to rope an extra one in, but even then there's only 5-6 dogs. Maybe next month we'll start up the thread a bit earlier and word everyone up, and hopefully the weather will be much nicer by then too! I'll give Kepala a call to let them know we're canceling. Sorry LC- would have been lovely to see you and Charlotte, and I was looking forward to Bert cuddles too! kerropiyo and spitzbaby- hopefully you ladies and your beautiful white fluffies can make it next month too, it's been too long! Hmm, things aren't looking too promising are they? After discussing with OH, we think even if it goes ahead, we'll just bring Dakota. Winter hasn't been too kind to Tiki's joints, I wasn't really thinking about that, got a little over-excited...lol. Hopefully she'll improve as the nicer weather sets in. So, at this point we have only 3 definite doggies I'm afraid.... C'mon people!! :D

Hi Kepala-ites! I'd really love to come this week, but I have to see if my OH will come along to give me a hand. Now that I have a pram to consider, I really regret not putting in the effort to loose-lead walking! LOL The weather's not looking great for Sunday so far, wish it was like yesterday! Maybe a bbq only works when we have a decent turn-out. If we come we can bring some extra things if they seem to be missing from the list though. I should know by Thursday if we're coming. We miss all of you so much! :D

Hi Guys! With only 2 weeks until our next scheduled meet, I thought I better let you know I won't be able to attend as I will be away with the OH. I'm hoping another regular can take up the task of starting the thread and collecting fees on the day. Also, if it doesn't look like it will go ahead, someone will need to contact Kepala and cancel our date. Unfortunately, I think this would have been my last Kepala meet before my belly's too big for me to handle my two scallywags, so it might be a while before we see any of you again. Hopefully someone can take on the 'organiser' role until some time next year. I hope you guys continue to enjoy these regular meets with all of your doggies, and I hope to re-join the group once I'm in a good routine with the new arrival, I'm sure my girls will be very much looking forward to a play date by then! Hi Panzer Attack, all of the big dogs are pretty good with the little ones and pups, you just have to make sure you pick them up when the bigguns are doing zoomies....lol. However, if you're more comfortable waiting for a day where there are more little ones, you should look out for Misha & Milo, she has 3 little ones including a Pap! We'd love to have you and Pia, Kirty! It would still be worth coming at 12.30, most of us will still be there Hey LC, looks like we'll have at least 9, possibly 10, so we're still going ahead! Also, I'm making an executive decision to scrap lunch for this month, we'll all just bring our own packed lunches. Hope this is ok with everyone, we just won't have enough people to create a varied lunch. Looking forward to seeing those that are coming!!
