Oh, and you'll always be her baby p.s I hope no one thinks I'm cruel when they see Tika's coat, still quite a few mats, especially in her big tail, I'm taking it slow getting through her coat, to try and warm her to grooming, she really doesn't like it and is quite used to getting her own way :D
  7. Welcome back SM, hope you had a lovely holiday, looking forward to seeing you and Bronte girl again, and meeting Brandi! :D Pointees: April is indeed looking very lovely, I look forward to seeing her (and the rest of you) in the flesh tomorrow!! Wizzle: Look forward to meeting you next time LM: 3 CHEERS FOR YOU for putting together a FB group...yay! Love it! Hey Kelly! As far as I've learned from books/tv and the like, dogs don't have vivid memories of things like us, like moments in time, etc, however I believe they can remember enough to feel frightened/happy/anxious when confronted by familiar smells/sights/sounds, etc, without fully understanding why. Buffy may exhibit some anxiety, however, as you mentioned she did this last time, before her accident, so you will probably never know if it's related to the accident or not. I honestly think she'll be fine, as dogs are much more resilient and 'in the moment' than many of us care to realise, and if we all make Kepala a fun, happy place for her, she's likely to feel comfortable. As Pointees said, I doubt we'll be in the pool area tomorrow anyway, which is where she is more likely to feel anxious, if at all. Oh, and yes, the other runs are available to us, if not already booked, and I doubt they are very busy in July...hehehe. Only crazy dog people still spend all day outside with their pooches in winter! SOOOO, what I mean to say is....PLEASE COME TOMORROW KELLY AND BUFFY!!! Rottisliebe: Sorry to hear a few of your pooches aren't feeling well, I hope they all feel better soon and we look forward to seeing you all again another time! OMG!!! 20. I don't have any advice, just wanted to say I'm so sorry you're going through this emotional rollercoaster... I agree the breeder should offer to take the puppy back, and provide a full refund. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with taking another puppy from the same breeder as compensation. However, you've mentioned the breeder may be struggling financially, so I'm guessing they may not be able to offer a refund at all, which IMHO suggests they perhaps shouldn't be breeding right now. I'm sorry if this sounds too harsh, but it just doesn't add up that they have somehow let you know they are struggling, but are obviously continuing to breed (they're offering a new puppy). If they can't afford to offer you a refund, I wonder how they could afford vet treatment for a whelp gone wrong, etc. A question to breeders- Do you make sure you have funds available just in case you may need to provide a refund to a puppy-buyer? Maybe I'm being too pedantic, I don't know? All that being said, I personally would be too emotionally attached to surrender the puppy at this point, even though it's causing you a lot of heartache and is totally unfair :D I know some have mentioned that basically it's no ones business what happens to a pup after it is surrendered back to the breeder, and that is legally correct I guess, you're 'giving up' the pup, in all senses, but it is completely understandable that anyone that has loved and nurtured a baby puppy for 4 months would like to know what the pup's future holds and would have the pup's best interests at heart. That may very well apply to the breeder too, but I would want to know that for sure. Very difficult situation..I really feel for you and your little girl. Good luck
