  1. You might be lucky,lol...will send Rhonda a reminder
  2. So pleased you are having problems too Maree  It must be a fault with them .
  3. Haha...I thought it was the cat at first then looked a bit closer  Rhonda says mum does tend to feed them in shifts, she gets half fed then turns over for the other half.
  4. Pups are 3 weeks old tomorrow....mum is such a gorgeous girl
  5. Im sure its because many rescues are choccas BJ Also most of the dogs needing help there are bull breeds which means slow re homers, and also the fact that B Hill is miles away so costs are higher to get dogs to rescue
  6. Thankyou Chocolatelover No one has put their name on her yet but I will add to the BH thread in Urgent that she has $100 towards her desexing.
  7. A few puppy pics for those that are interested, 9 days old............ ETA....thanks for your lovely offer Staffyluv
  8. Yes...puppy pics coming soon :D as soon as Rhonda takes them, lol
  9. "So the thoughts that are rolling around in my brain are about why the pound isn't aborting the pups and why, if a rescue is going to take the dog, do they wait until it is too late to abort the pups? If a dog in a pound is known to be pregnant and a rescue group knows it is going to take the dog, how can the pregnancy be allowed to continue " Why would the pound desex and abort pups on a dog that at that point didnt have rescue ? She didnt have rescue for a long time and she had been in the pound since mid Jan at least. No pound is going to pay to desex a dog when they dont even know if it will get rescue...some might but not B Hill anyway. As I said before, by the time we put our name on her it was as a last resort to get her out as no one else was in a position to help her. Right or wrong we will not abort puppies at that late stage.......if other rescues can do it its entirely up to them. Perhaps someone can help this girl who ranger thinks is pregnant, she's only 7-8 mths
  10. Bloody hell...settle down everyone !!! Just seen all this........no the pups will definately not be going anywhere till at least 8 weeks old, I never suggested they would be. Just mentioned that maybe we would need help from another rescue to take some if needed which also widens the chances to rehome them..... No other rescue committed to helping her while she was in the pound so by the time we took her she was 2 weeks away from giving birth..much too late to desex and abort but thats just my opinion. To those that asked how mum was going.....there will be update pics soon hopefully. They are 1 week old today, mum has a home to go to when ready. She's a good mum (had plenty of practice Id say ) and it will be her last. There's another young mastiff girl currently needing help also believed to be pregnant according to ranger...perhaps someone could put their hand up to help her as if she is pregnant it would be only just...............
  11. Rhonda/Marshall always doing Sydney runs, will keep you posted.
  12. She didnt have definate rescue early on and we only took her in the later stages as otherwise she would have been pts as no one else committed to help her. Would have desexed her earlier yes for sure but not once she was so far along....cant do it Im sorry but thats just me Thanks T...would just sign over to you. Dallas is happy to help too .
  13. Thought I would update on this beautiful girl, she was picked up as a stray along with masiff boy (obviously dad ) early in Jan. He has since gone to a new home in Yass We got this girl out a few weeks ago and has just been waiting to give birth getting fatter and fatter at Rhonda's (her laundry has been a birthing suite a few times lol ). She's now called Honey and has an adopter waiting for her too when she's weaned the pups She had 12 pups and 1 stillborn. If any other rescues can share the workload of taking some pups in a few weeks please let me know :D Pound pic dad
  14. So sorry to read this Kirty Why cant people mind their own bloody business You'd had her for a year, she wasnt out roaming the streets or causing any trouble...as I said before people should mind their own business..........
  15. And how very happy we are too gwp4me that you took on this dog . Youre obviously a wonderful home for him and sorry you had the bad experience with the other rescue. We always try to reply to enquiries the same day if possible...in fact a lot of people email back to say they are surprised to hear back so quickly. We dont have an adoption form to fill in but prefer to talk to people on the phone, then follow up with a home check etc if they sound suitable.
  16. Sending get well wishes from here too...he's a brilliant ranger, wish there were more like him
  17. Yep..will do Shaz but she doesnt even know :p (she would have been happy to anyway as she's meeting others on sunday )
