  1. If I remember rightly, one of her cuts was a bit red and fleshy looking when I took the bandages off. I just sprinkled Medipulv antiseptic powder (human variety from chemist ) to dry it up, put non stick pad on top and vetrap. Was fine after a few days.
  2. I'm sure he'll be fine. My wolfie once ate a whole banana cake I'd left cooling on the bench
  3. What a wonderful way with words you have, can hardly see the screen for tears Hugs to you and RIP Molly
  4. Yep, my boy does this too...but he doesn't do the tongue thing though
  5. Am crying reading this too So sorry to hear your sad news, it's always a really awful time when we lose a furkid. Just think of all the wonderful times you've had together over 15 years and all the cyber hugs and support you have Thinking of you xx
  6. GSD's and Wolfhounds. The girl at the vets is a wolfie x. Had a feeling that some dogs just don't have any, but I'm sure I read somewhere that some breeds have double rear ones.
  7. Was just wondering if it's usual for vets to remove any rear dew claws? Dropped my rescue girl off for desexing today and he said he'd remove her dew claws at the same time for an extra $40. Feel like an idiot cos I never even noticed them before he mentioned it ! Came home and checked the others...none of them have any, and I'm sure none of my previous dogs had either. Is this because the breeder has already removed them?
  8. Thanks for that Tempus Fugit. Understand it all now ;)
  9. Can someone tell me please what is this *c tick* and would the ones available in Qld have it ?
  10. I had no idea that these were illegal ! I got mine from a local supplier about 18 months ago. Is this a new law?
  11. About a minute ! Brisket bones last a bit longer...but not much
  12. Oh..you poor thing and Sweep too of course. Many hugs to you both
  13. Like others, don't have any of me with the dogs. Just found this one Monah took before she moved to Darwin.
  14. Have used it with one of my males twice now.The first time it seemed to wear off after 9/10 months, so he's onto his second one now{about 8 months ago}.Vet said it might be due to his size that it's not lasting the full 12 months, apparently it's the same implant whether for a wolfie or a chi.
  15. When I had a rescue dog sent up from Griffith, she arrived on heat and all my other dogs are males so it was a nightmare for 3 weeks  Couldn't find a vet that would desex on heat{rang about 5 in my area}, but one said it wouldn't matter if she got pregnant anyway as he would desex 2 weeks after and abort any foetus. Only had 1 entire male at the time so he was the main one I had to watch even though the others were keen too, gave me a few grey hairs I can tell you!! This has reminded me, must get her booked in *grin*
  16. Just seen this thread. Hugs to you So pleased to hear your little guy is improving.....lovely pics too...what a cutie!
  17. Hugs to you and your little guy Understand what you are going through right now, my thoughts are with you xx
  18. My foster grey girl cut one of her pads. Just made sure it was clean and put some vetrap round her paw so it wouldn't get anything in when she walked. Took about 2 weeks to heal completely.
  19. Sorry, I just don't understand people that want to get a dog and keep it outside I know we all have different ideas, but why get a dog at all if it has to be seperated from it's pack. Like others have said, they don't have to sleep on your bed if you're not happy, just a little corner next to it will do
  20. That's really awful Poor little guy....and feel bad for the distraught owners too
