  1. I would also recommend going back tot he basics - the NILIF programme - very easy to do and has worked wonders for my dogs.
  2. I think you need to train your 18 year old brother and giving him the vet bill might help with that! I'm hoping Spencer brings up the offending item easily and quickly. Hopefully other people who have had experience with this will be along to help you soon.
  3. DDD If you'd like to text message them to me, I will then either email them back or upload them. Up to you. :)
  4. DDD there is a thread on this a bit further down the page in this section. :)
  5. I second this. Old dogs also get stiff in the neck etc so find it much easier to eat from a raised bowl.
  6. The best time to photograph kittens is in the afternoon when it's compulsory nap time! Sleepy kittens move slower.
  7. I've just been recommended someone who charges $25 a night for a couple of dogs and a couple of cats.
  8. I get them in the roof all the time and keep getting the pest control guy out to put down more baits and they keep coming back! I'm thinking I should put pet safe bait traps all around the outside of the house and get them before they get into the roof space. And I never see any dead rats around - touch wood!
  9. I have two of these plastic types. The large one I've had for 20 years and it still looks like new. It's always been under a pergola so not directly in weather. It is easy to move around, pull apart and clean. http://petone.com.au/petkennels_plastic.asp
  10. They are in good condition so hopefully their owners are looking for them and they will be home soon. :)
  11. I've got a Canon 1100D and it is very easy to use in auto mode and I'm just starting to learn the other functions.
  12. Just saw on a FB page that dogs must be crated so that might be a consideration for some people.
  13. Just a tip with the new turf. As you're getting it laid towards the end of the grass growing season it may not start growing and sending roots down until the start of the next season. This means lots of water and watering to keep it alive until then. I learnt this the hard way!
  14. Is that just post-surgery? Yep, sorry I didn't clarify that. :)
  15. My last vet told me, quite a few years ago, that legally an animal can't be released from the clinic unless it can walk unaided.
  16. What about the National Desexing Network? http://www.ndn.org.au/apply-for-low-cost-desexing.html
  17. Do the know what breed/s the father is? I presume it is their other dog? Poor thing is way too young to be having puppies.
  18. I might be interested in tracking but I don't really know what it's about! So please tell me. :)
  19. I had a dog have several mammary lumps removed over quite a few years and she lived until 18!
  20. The NSW Companion Animal Register (local government owned) is different to Central Animal Records (privately owned I think). Here are the details for the NSW Companion Animal Register and they can send you the form you need. Bear in mind that this is only a NSW database so the Qld person will have to register the dog up there in whatever database they use. Division of Local Government Department of Premier and Cabinet Locked Bag 3015 NOWRA NSW 2541 Ph: 02 4428-4100 Fax: 02 4428-4199 E-mail: [email protected] It is also online but I can't find it but will keep looking. Wouldn't it be lovely to only have one, Australia wide, registry! ETA: Found the form here: www.dlg.nsw.gov.au/DLG/DLGHome/Documents/Forms/C3A_change_owner.pdf
  21. Has he had a blood test to rule out liver problems?
