  1. Tell them to simply pee off and mind their own business - you didn't do it anyway. Give it another 6 months and she will be big enough to tell them that she was born prior to the ban. A small white lie that shuts them up really quick. And good on you for holding out for an example of our breed the way they should be. DOCKED :D . I hate our tails .
  2. So sorry to read this about the beautiful Wil. She loved just being out and about. My heart is with you all . RIP Wil.
  3. GOOD & ample interior lighting - check. Cooling - yes. Heating - not sure that would be needed - a well insulated trailer generally holds a nice temp when the dogs are in it. Will look into that though.
  4. Tick to drawbar. No to trolley carrier - all storage under roofline (secure & dry) and different size water tanks . As I said prior these will be topline trailers - maybe that is a good name . If it all gets off the ground we will advertise on DOL - ofcourse where else would you - so you will know where to look.
  5. Thats interesting - I was thinking that a false floor would work for a storage area but they have a trailer base worked out with drainage points so thats out. But maybe false roof with higher trailer.
  6. Yep, Cam is something that I would love to have - like in the horse floats. But how distracting would that be while you were driving ??? and imagine if the police pulled you up . You would definately need the one with the intercom . Awnings from centre of trailer is their idea . . .
  7. YES!! Option for solid wall between the two sides would be nice - right down the length of the trailer or just 2 bays if a 6-8 berth - travelling two dogs/bitches which don't like each other is impossible for me in our 4 berth with it's mesh dividers This is on the list as well - but a removable one or as many as required.
  8. practice is free - but little beepers would be nice What I would like and what I can afford unfortunately are not the same thing. But aerodynamics for fuel economy, sizable berths, double lock mesh doors (just in case) built in wardrobe plus crate rack on front (just in case you need extras), rear bumper to protect when reversing with 2 spares mounted on it. Solid section at the bottom of the inner walls to prevent blankets or objects being stolen. Another storage section to allow for 2 berths being blocked off for a dog or for a bitch in season. Oh and all this on dual axle to allow for easier reversing and if you get a flat tyre not far from home you can still go home and fix the flat later. Water tank so you can have access to fresh water without carrying bottles all the time and the usual safety features that are necessary. All that at an affordable price would be lovely. ETA changes: forget about the crate rack on front if that would affect the aerodynamics, just make sure the wardrobe is a good size. Funnily enough you have just almost described their idea of a base model. Price we will hopefully be able to keep in a reasonable bracket that depends on products sourced but these will be topline trailers - they will not consider making anything on the cheap.
  9. Oh me too What I want to know is why I can reverse the Ftruck with a gooseneck on the back with my eyes closed but always have bimbi moments reversing my itty bitty single axle trailer with my wagon Perhaps we will run classes until someone invents cruise control reverse . A long drawbar is also a must for ease of reversing . . .
  10. And I get the 3rd, it's called the GET - Giant Extra Tall version No issue, custom sizes are a must I've told them.
  11. I had that too - half the litter one date and the other half the next and I had to think twice about what to put on the form as well !!! I put the start date so glad I got that right - blame 'baby brain' . . .
  12. Ok, so my partner & his brother are seriously sourcing trailer making components in the view to have a business up and running by the end of the year. With 30+ years in fabrication the technical side will not be an issue and the finish / end detail will be the best. I have made up a list of what components my ideal trailer will have (I will get the first one & a very good friend is in line for the second) which we will use as prototypes / advertising etc etc I was just hoping to get a list together of what dog people want in their trailers to give them so that they have a solid base to work from & would love the input of anyone interested. The safety side will be taken care of - but feel free to list all of those requirements, what is necessary to you and what is dream material. Safety Must Haves Dream Haves (if $$ no object ). Thanks & I look forward to compiling your responses for them.
  13. One of my cats years ago used to sit on the bar heater and end up with burn stripes he sat so close !!! Dogs not so silly ;) and they cannot get burnt like that off a heatpad.
  14. There is a padded one you can get from Harris Scarfe - Tail Waggers brand - it has the heat pad inside a foam mat with wooly top and they come in several sizes. We have two and use them for our old old dogs or a dog recovering from surgery / illness and sometimes even for puppies when they are out of the whelp box. Cannot remember the price we have had them for quite a while. I have a vet heat pad which I use in my heat box for newborns & wouldn't use that for an older dog don't think. With the Tail Waggers we usually cover it with dry bed which insulates well too - this gives the dog the option to move off the heat source and still be comfortable.
  15. Clark Rubber Mats - high density rubber foam I had covered with waterproof fabric - cost about 150 per berth but big berths & will last for years . On top of that: in summer I put a light fabric cover I made up like a pillowcase which is cool to lie on and they get a cotton doona - in cooler weather they get rubberbacked drybed & polar fleece blankets. Yeah I know !!! I only have one little imp who is a thief - Jade, she always has the adjoining berths teddy or bedding as far through into her berth as she can . Will have to hook up a dvd player for her - she loves cartoons . Are we there yet !!!
  16. Thanks - thats a great site, which is now on my favourites list.
  17. That's why the path report suggests liver function checked... crystals aren't going to give you a better reading than that pathology report.. Didn't say not to do what was recomended - but vet treatments won't fix the issue they will mask it. Natropathy works on healing the system.
  18. Oops sorry forgot to add that she can / will do a hair analysis or what we call 'a reading' (crystal) or both and will help to balance out the systems in the body to get everything working properly again. The skin reflects internal issues as we all know. May sound a bit weird but it works.
  19. So its basically dry skin with dandruff, pimples and hair loss ??? Alot of dogs seem to have this issue atm. If you are interested in a natural approach ring Natropath - Carol Freeman on 9796 8330 - she is fantastic .
  20. Hi all, I am finding that I am missing entries for obedience trials as it is impossible to find schedules or even contact details for the secretary's - maybe due to Vic Dogs Website change not sure but I have missed several already this year. Does anyone know of a central website that all clubs can list schedules on OR (Troy ) can we pin a topic in here for schedules to be listed. I want to support these country clubs as I prefer those trials in general but cannot enter if I cannot find the schedules. Thanks
  21. I don't see any new exhibitors showing yet, they seem to be existing exhibitors most with older titled dogs. (ETA those with non titles dogs are already existing exhibitors) From Saturday's Ovens valley show. Toy - 1 x Cav - 16 yrs, not titled. 1 x Tibetan Spaniel Gr Ch titled, 11yrs. Terrier - NIL Gundogs - 1 x Novia Scotia - Ch titled, 8yrs. Hound - NIL Working - 1 x Sheltie - 2yrs, not titled. Utility - 2 x Dobermann - Both Ch titled, 6/7yrs. 1 x Rotti Ch titled, 7 yrs. Non Sporting - 1 x Std Poodle - Ch titled, 3yrs. Does anyone have any dogs that they bred out there being shown in Neuter by new exhibitors? So basically because there has been 1 show in Victoria which happened to be a 3 hour drive from Melbourne since the class started that it is a good indication of what the class will pull? Pretty safe call that all those neuters also had entire show mates entered as well. Those new exhibitors probably didn't know about it or more than likely didn't want to drive so far for a show.......I certainly wouldn't have if I was showing 2 other dogs as well. Actually there were 4 entries in Utility - a Mal got NIG on Sat . And my Dobe is 8 1/2 not 7 .
  22. No, you don't use it on it's own. :D I have no floor in my whelping box so I put down carpet then a tarp, then paper then vetbed or carpet for the mum and puppies to lay on. The tarp/tablecloth is to protect the permanent flooring which your whelping box sits on. Have you see what the little bugger has been up to today? Devilish Dexter You are most welcome to look after the cheeky monkey any time you like - that's if your game enough! Ahh - ok that makes more sense - sorry I get up too early for work . And I nearly stole him on my way out of Ovens Valley but thought your beautiful daughter might be a tad upset .
  23. Hmmmmmmmm, I tend not to tip litres of water on the floor of my whelping area but whatever taps your bucket :D. Can just imagine one of our girls flying around the corner to get to her puppies and ripping holes right through it. But DEXTER would just looooooooooooooooooooove that on the floor - you are spoiling that puppy, he'd better come and stay with me for a while
