I put dog poo collected from around the garden in nossi's holes and it stops him straight away, hasn't dug a new hole in months

me too that is my favourite part of shaping, and that they end up offering all sorts of random behaviours whenever you hold a treat haha! Luckily it was really sunny and pretty hot (we were up the coast at forster) and he was running so much he wouldn'y have felt the cold lol. we were there with my friends cattle dogs and they all ran around and played for ages! He did seem strangely interested in eating the sand haha, he would dig a hole and then stuff his nose in and eat it! crazy dog

hahaha oops sorry ruth!! well I think the pics are great anyway!! Hehe yeh anything looks giant next to him!! I will have to get one of those cuz's, he loved it! He only has a dino cuz at the moment and he struggles dragging it around lol. He is coming along very well amypie, I have started some shaping work with him, there is a video of it here but I think you have already seen it. Other than that we just had our first beach holiday with envy so he had an awesome time running around the beach and eating the sand Unfortunately I forgot my camera as it was on the charger when I left oh well, my friend took some pics so hopefully I get them soon!

I have a greyhoundx, staffy x and english toy terrier puppy, again i think supervision is the most important. The greyhound x is the most gentle with the pup and has never hurt him, even accidentally. The staffy x has stood on him once and isn't as gentle with him when playing. All together they get along very very well.

My new pup is Yurrugar Green WithNV and his call name is "Envy". I chose the pedigree and call names my self in consultation with the breeder. He is an agility dog so I needed a short easy call name, and have found myself referring to him as "v" in training to get his attention A lot of my friends have dogs who have 'nicknames' eg. one friend's bc is called coco but when she talks to her she calls her coconut lol. Not all pedigree names have more than one word, e.g. all the Guirmere borders I know have only one word after their prefix, like guirmere trim or guirmere tegan, these are then also their call names (e.g. trim and tegan). Oh and non purebred dogs are allowed one word up to 12 letters (so my rescues are registered as pepperoni and cabanossi, with call names pepe and nos) and some people in the agility world string a few words into one for this purpose (e.g. Utullyorsum pronounced as utterly awesome) Hope that gives you a bit more insight :D

Hey all, I am looking to buy a pause table for my backyard agility course, doesn't necessarily have to be adjustable as long as it is ok for a 300 dog. If anyone knows where I could get one, preferably for around $100 or less, that would be great! Thanks

I'm in western sydney but maay be up for a central coast meet as its not too far, depending on when as I have lots of agility trials on. I am on holidays until the 26th so could do during the week until then, let me know if you pic a date/location

I have a dual cab rodeo with a canopy over the tray, I also have a false floor made from wood and a metal divider and metal cage doors (sort of mesh material). The canopy has windows with metal bars in front so I can open the windows while driving and the doggies can get some fresh air. Having the cage doors allows me to open the canopy at dog trials so the dogs have fresh air but can't get out. I have a divider so I can give the dogs bones and stuff in each of their sides and they can't steal each others food, and so that the younger one doesn't annoy the older one. My new pup is currently on the back seat in a crate as he is too small and can get through the mesh but he will eventually be in the tray with the other young one. I find this set up is great. Especially with the false floor as I can keep my crates, chair and gazebo under there. My dad made my set up and he said it was fairly easy and cheap if you can find the right materials (he had them all lying in the shed lol)

Through Viva Photography. I randomly entered a comp at the shopping centre and won $3OO towards a photo sitting. Ended up costing me just under $1OO. cool! lucky you!! Once my new pup is an adult I hope to get a photo shoot done with my 3. Ivy is gorgeous!! Very nice coat.

I would love to but too expensive I could afford one day but you have to do all the behaviour seminar stuff first, most of which i've already done in my animal vet bioscience degree. Oh well, maybe next time she comes and I have a full time job with some more money coming in

he is definitely top dog over nossi but not pepe, pepe doesn't tolerate him and puts him in his place which is probably a good thing :D teaaches him some manners lol, but he definitely knows i'm boss because as soon as I say "ahh" (like if he tries to steal food from one of the other dogs bowls) he stops doing what he was doing and looks at me lol, he listens well and never tries to run through doors before me etc. but I will have to make sure I keep him in his place carefully because he does have a lot of spunk :D

hehe ok i can take a hint, here are some photos of him from my holiday at wollondilly river station last week, it was envy's first holiday, he loved it!!! zoomies!!! taking turns playing chase and then sharing the river was much too cold!!! ATTACK!!! nnnaaaaaaawwwwwww too tired to hold his ears up :D but very regal looking all home and exhausted!! hope that was enough for your fix amypie

Thanks, he is gorgeous!! I love terriers and mixes, pepe is a staffy x and no idea what nossi is but I think greyhound or whippet x something. I expect Envy to jump the 300 height, based on the size of his parents. This is the same height pepe jumps, if you wanna see videos of him just type in pepperoni staffy into youtube and there's heaps of us competing, he is my masters dog. I met some dogs from this breeder at canberra royal and loved them and when I got into contact with her I thought paige was great, very genuine and interested in me and the future I would be offering for her pup. I'm not sure about all breeders but paige was amazing, she knew which pup was for me weeks before I even came to visit. I still saw the whole litter but I picked the same pup she did. He was just the most confident and outgoing and people focussed and driven, which can all translate to being good for agility. Nossi is amazing with him, very gentle and playful! He actually knows envy is a pup I think (unlike pepe ) and lets him get away with a lot. He is definitely the "good cop". lol Yeah it was, I didn't know you were there!!!! I am assuming you're referring to the manly trial? Are you going to ADC or deerbush this weekend? Come and say hi if you are! Although I might be a bit busy at the ADC one as it is my club and im on the committee so need to help out lots.

HAHAHAHA I forgot about that!!!! it was hilarious! He humps everything the little brat poor shine! I'm sure she thought it was very undignified lol. I can't wait to start training him, very excited to see what his attitude to agility will be like! hehe yeah he is! If you look closely you can see him and nossi playing with a toy and envy wants it so he pretends to play with another toy which distracts nossi and then envy grabs the original toy and runs off with it clever boy! This is my first puppy since my family dog 13 years ago as the other 2 were rescues and a bit older when I got them, I forgot how much fun it is!! Wasn't your mannie only just a puppy? :D

Thanks for all the nice replies, he is a very nice "mini dobe/mannie" isn't he hehe I was looking at a mannie but decided I wanted something smaller like pepe so when I saw these guys at the canberra royal I couldn't resist. And paige has been amazingly helpful and is just as excited as me about Envy's career, he is the most gutsy dog I have ever met so I think he has a lot of potential to excel in agility, and yes he is already very smart, he learnt to wave by watching his "brothers" and even tried to sneak up the dog walk today while I wasn't looking for a split second! No more running loose in the agility paddock until we learn the basics I think!!!
