Mental image of someone putting on a suit of armour to spank its bottom

The straight up facts say "you idiot!" But he may have worked with this animal for years and knew how much liberties he could take. The croc however isn't human and does his own thing how he feels... :p Still.... idiot!

Why Are Smart People So Dumb?

That's not what the heart wants, that's what the hormones want :D -
Am I right? The croc grabbed a piece of meat before he was supposed to and the guy reached into his mouth to retrieve it? Oh goddamm... In the guys defence however, he has worked with them for years. You can get to know an animal pretty well and be able to take certain risks. In his case, sometimes knowing an animal well makes you forget they can always throw in something different... But still... um, nooooooo!

Why Are Smart People So Dumb?

It's not just dogs My best friend who I consider an educated intelligent person told me she is getting a Birman kitten from a "breeder" (I haven't had a chance to find out what that means in this case) She is allergic to cats and within 5 minutes of meeting her soon to be kitten was tearing up and sneezing but "she will get used to it" if not "my mum is happy to take him" I doubt it's a registered breeder because who would sell a kitten to someone with allergies? (she would have mentioned it, she wouldn't try to hide the fact) but if it was I do feel a little sorry for them because I know this kitten will be passed along. (Actually, if my friend told them she has allergies and they still happily sell her a kitten then I don't feel very sorry for them, just the kitten) -
I dunno.... I've met people who take it as their god given right to pick up or hold any puppy they meet. This could just be a case of those kind of over the top weirdos who need to learn boundaries, rather than someone trying to steal someone's dog. I find over the top people in my face frightening sometimes, so I can see how that sort of behaviour could be interpreted as someone trying to steal their dog. Or it could be someone trying to steal their dog.

Finally! Also, they could be registered breeders, the "friend" with the male could be as well and this is all second hand from their daughter.... (ok, yeah, odds on it's yet another byb but geez, lets all jump in with angry faces without knowing anything else...)

Do police really dress like that? Surely they would be in uniform right? -

Most time I have a name picked out before hand it never works when I meet them. Wylie was supposed to be Aries but it never fit. After many names he became Wylie because he was a sesame shiba and had the same colouring as a coyote... It went from there... Loki was misnamed from the start.. He should have been named Cyril or Francis or something more in keeping with his personality..

I've got a name for my next shiba after one of my boys pops off his mortal coil. I want a black and tan girl but the name works just as well for a boy. (I've never had a girl dog... it scares me!)I'm planning on calling She(or he) Duende It depends on if the name "fits" the dog after I meet them of course... So did I... and I did. Meet Flansburgh, aka Flansy. Officially known as BYMYSIDE Sleeping N The Flowers :D The obvious question remains... I know my reasons, but why do you want to use the name Flansburgh?

Shaded brits? I want one someday!! -
This has been said a few times and obviously you won't listen. RUN AWAY!!!!!!!! The above statement is bull.. You don't want someone to have your bloodlines? Desex pups before you rehome. I hope you haven't put money down on this pup.... (yes I know different breeder from the first but the next sounds just as crap)

Lots of human emotion/interpretation here.... The cat didn't go " Oh no! my human is in trouble! To the rescue!!!!" Cats are territorial. It would have been responding to a dog situation within it's home territory. Cat's can be bad ass in pursuit of their territory. If it was a guy running up and attacking the kid, most likely the cat wouldn't have responded. But a dog would have triggered the right territory fight response. Also, the cat didn't run back to check on the kid, it was retreating under the car for protection while it regrouped and decided what action it should take next.. fight or flight

Old Age And Nails?
cannibalgoldfish replied to cannibalgoldfish's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Well... as a response this is pretty crap... So far no nails have been cut, he whips them out of my hands in seconds... He is really foot shy! Far more than I realised.. He was always a missy priss about people touching his feet but I never really pushed him because there was never any pressing reason..(yes, pretty silly upon reflection... ) -
Old Age And Nails?
cannibalgoldfish replied to cannibalgoldfish's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My luck, I'll dremel into his toe quick Do they grow?(nail quicks) I remember how short the nails were, would chopping back to that length be a problem? Silly question, yes.... -
Old Age And Nails?
cannibalgoldfish replied to cannibalgoldfish's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
These answers may be basically telling me something I already know. Maybe... Many year back Loki was hit by a car and broke his hip in 2 places. I have often suspected it would affect him later on in life as he got older... The only thing is, I can't remember off the top of my head which hip he broke.... I suspect it's the same side as the front foot with nail growth. Now... to let a nail shy dog let me close to his nails... -
What Do Think Of This?
cannibalgoldfish replied to a topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
"Always adopt, never buy" ? Yeah, I guess that makes me scum for buying 2 registered pedigreed dogs.... I guess all those years of research into the breed (their good points (and their bad points, all breeds have them) and making sure I can give them the correct home (in which my pair of sponges have been lounging about in for the last 10 and 12 years respectively) means nothing right? Personally, air brushed bimbos selling everything from toothpicks to life insurance are a dime a dozen to me, so the Add doesn't really even register. -
I have been toying about asking whether dogs nails grow faster as they get older.... But I have recently discovered that it's not just his nails are growing faster, it's mainly one front paw. Background is... Loki is 12 and doesn't move much during the day these days I have always walked my boys on a variety of surfaces to wear down their nails. Up until now this worked... I noticed in the last year his front nails seem to be growing faster? Now I realise it's just mainly one foot. My first thought was, does that mean it's a movement/joint thing? I've watched him a fair bit since I noticed one paw has fast nail growth and he isn't favouring the foot or limping... Guess I want to know, do older dogs grow nails faster, and if one paw grows faster than the other, is it a movement thing (because of wear) and is there something I need to be looking for?

If I'm out walking and stop at traffic lights Wylie will shove his head under Loki and sniff/lick his doodle. It's only when we are in public. -
What Breed For An Older Lady?
cannibalgoldfish replied to Homeriver's topic in General Dog Discussion
Good fences, not off leash, I think a shiba inu could work. Small dog in a big body. They aren't barkers, they might kick up a scream when you get home. but it's not too bad. I've never had a neighbour complain about their welcome home cry.
