Blue Afghans have black noses. But that's because it's not a dilute form of blue.

I have found this too. I wonder if some much more experienced exhibitors have a more assertive air in the ring? I find it worse when I go into a class in group, usually with a youngster, and the judge awards it before the participants get to stack up or even know what's going on! Everyone turns around and asks each other who won! I appreciate they have often made up their minds while going through the breeds but it is a bit abrupt and strange.

Oh Tarope I hope you don't believe all that you see on TV... No news on puppy I'm afraid, I hope he's safe and well.

Condys Crystals ..............has Anyone
Alyosha replied to Trishm's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Trishm condys are used frequently on horses with fungal foot infections - you could try a produce or feed store, or even a farrier supplies place. -
If you make it on the weekend come and say hello - look for the red & white borzoi and I'll be on the other end of his lead!

So if they pts they are evil, and if they adopt it out they are evil?? Damned if you do and damned if you don't seems to have reached a whole new level here. Any dog, regardless of age can be behaviour assessed in a manner appropriate to their age and development. Testing dogs of unknown parentage is the gamble that anyone in rescue or shelter work takes every day. If you don't trust such assessments and unknown background dogs then buy from recognised breeders, no one is ever forced to buy a shelter or rescue dog.

People are scary... I saw mention this week of some BYB whippets in a NSW country pound with badly docked tails! At a couple of months old tthey had scabs on them?? I shudder to think of what some people are capable of.

Very limited info on this one so far. Poor kid, hope she's ok. Link - Pitbull Attacks Child Story A three-year-old girl has multiple injuries after being attacked by a pit bull terrier on the NSW mid-north coast, an ambulance service spokesman says. Paramedics were en route to a property in Pindari Crescent at Taree to treat the youngster, the spokesman said on Monday afternoon. The girl is reportedly suffering injuries to her hip, abdomen and leg. The spokesman says the seriousness of her injuries is yet to be determined. ETA - just saw it was already posted - sorry!

There may well have been one - media don't get told everything. Poor pup, poor people. :D

Poor Howie! Give him some substitue borzoi kisses from us. And yes Genie will be absent - we will miss his company.

Ho hum. All RSPCA are rich and evil and all pitbulls are vicious killers. Sound like a familiar roundabout?? Round and round and round we go. Pro BSL or anti certain breed people aren't the only blind and stubborn ones out there.
-
And the ACT CEO has openly spoken out in opposition to some of Dr Wirth's recent public statements as well.
-
It's very sad that some people behave about the RSPCA just as the anti pitbull people in society do. They will not be convinced of anything outside of their opinion, and will use anything to try and support their cause. It's very easy to sit on backsides and point fingers, how about opening minds and finding out genuine information for yourself instead of believing whatever you're fed. RSPCA ACT do rehome pitbulls, as do DAS pound in ACT. RSPCA ACT also rehomes Greyounds as well. All dogs are individuals and are treated as such.

Some strange ideas indeed... For the sane ones out there: This was a lovely puppy. I had met him and he was very nice indeed. An unclaimed stray, big boned, happy and beautiful. It is not nice to wonder where he ended up and staff at RSPCA would dearly love to know he is safe and sound - as would legitimate people who may have been interested in adopting him through lawful channels. If anyone sees or hears anything please let RSPCA ACT know. ETA - like j I'll add a discaimer. Yes I do have an affiliation with RSPCA ACT, and am proud to. That doesn't lessen my concern for the pup's welfare. Thanks j for posting this topic.

How sad to surrender a dog because it is sick. I know some people can't afford to try and treat for parvo but they should take responsibility for their own pet if the outcome is going to be unpleasant. Not everything in dog ownership is happy and smiley.

Especially when we get stuck down at the bottom rings in Canberra and the loo is all the way up the top - makes it less of an expedition when you have someone to watch dogs for you.

Make sure you come say helo to us all IW4ME. We'll try and get PF to bring the pink & purple palace gazebo so she's east to spot! Then you can find teh rest of us from there.

Droooolll...... Gorgeous pics of your lovely young lady - a very well deserved win indeed.

You are coming across as misinformed justin19801. Have you read their governing policies?

Thanks guys, lots of food for thought... I could try but not sure if it would work - rubbing off neck coat is always a consideration too. But she pulls into any collar she wears, she's not worried about them, the sensation just pushes her down and forward. So not sure if a weighted collar would encourage that? She's strong as an ox and has a high hunt drive - she hunts head down like a basset or bloodhound Will definitely try this one. This was what I was thinking! I think it just takes some dexterity and practice - like a magic trick... Watch me slip this face strap into my palm like magic!!

I stuck mine in the mail on Thursday (damn public holidays!) I hope they won't be late??
