I have 1 pedigree dog , 1 X breed dog , a moggie , a pedigree siamese and a designer cat - Burmese x Ragdoll who is fantastic I saw them advertised after I had to PTS my other much loved moggie and I thought that a Burmese X Ragdoll would get the best from both breeds and he certainly has. He came from a loving home and is very healthy and happy. I know on Cat World they are very concerned about designer cats and apparently a lot are sold through pet shops ( I didn't get mine from a pet shop) - Ragdoll x appear to be the favourite at the moment. While cats don't have the big range of physical size that dogs do there are very strong personality traits between breeds.

the updates are great - I love seeing how they grow and change -hopefully you will have lots more photos in the future

Hi Robbi I think your intentions are great however I also feel that this rescue place needs some good organisation and education. I have had a bit to do with them and think that the sale of adult undesexed dogs to anyone willing to pay $50 is not really achieving anything positive in fight to reduce unwanted dogs. I like the sponsorship for desexing idea -also temperament testing and better selection of new homes would help. You're doing a great job Robbi -don't give up.

My Lappie hates heavy clips on her shoulder when we are walking -do any of these leads have light clips ?

do you mean 2 legged skinkids getting in the way or 4 legged furkids either way I've got heaps of both

I understand that the dogs that are eaten are a specific type - ie brown dog tastes better than black as said in the interview. So what is the difference in eating specially bred dogs to eating specially bred sheep or cattle or any other animal.. edited to add that I have lived in third world countries where any animal is considered food including road kill

I always get asked about my Lappy -the funniest comment was from a woman who after I explained the Finnish bit was "she must only pull childrens sleds cos she's small" - I was a bit lost for words after that one

Our Lappie always has to have a toy in her mouth -and then she little howls through the toy and runs around Our wolfie x wiggles jumps up and down and makes burping noises and does deep woowoowoos and then wants cuddles

he is beautiful- I met my first one a couple of weeks ago (didn't know they came in black) anyway the one I met was a big healthy boy with a great shiny coat and really friendly and gentle.

That is very interesting, sparky. When he was "sad", was he in pain? And can you remember who "cheered up" first, you or him, after putting the t-shirt on him? RIP brave Deerie I don't think he was in pain -he just looked lost and kept looking where his leg had been -(it was the front one). It was definitely him that cheered up first when I put the t-shirt on - I remember he actually got up and gave one of the cats a smooch and then looked at us expectantly as if he was telling us that he was complete again. It was very sad as he was only 4 years old and a very gentle sweet deerie and in hindsight I would not go through an amputation because of bone cancer again as the lifespan after amputation is short. Hope this makes sense !

Our deerhound lost a limb to bone cancer and he was really sad for a couple of days post op until I put one of my sons t-shirts on him and then he cheered up no end. He wore that t-shirt for 6 months until we had to PTS. I think the feel of the t-shirt somehow made up for the loss of his leg.

Hi -we took over 800 photos in Europe recendly and have loaded then on to our PC . Is there an easy way to reduce the size from about 3 or 4 MB to approx 80 KB ????? At the monent I am opening each photo in paint and reducing it..................................
