Jaana and I will be there -I haven't missed one in the last 10 years - I love it. Dory the Doted One - no you don't have to register or donate -although I do - lots of people just join in

I have a very "talkie" dog and have taught her "quiet" but she always has to have to last word. :D she has a huge range of noises from loud barks to very quiet soft howls. I don't know if it is possible to stop the "chat"

It's kinda obvious, but is there any breed more universally lovable and loving than a Lapphund? Not in my eyes. Erik is the bigger cuddle monster, but a Lappie is the dog you love to love. A Lapful of Lappies? Mine would be a "chat of Lappies"

A very cute Hairy Maclary dog - how big is he ?

Catworld is wonderful - lots of lovely people and great advice

So sorry to hear your girl is still having problems but as the others have said they do heal and the best thing you can do is give her lots of TLC when she comes home.

I asked my vet about this and the answer was yes especially with poisons such as Ratsak.

How Many Of Your Dogs Do You Walk At Once?
sparkycat replied to snow_wolf's topic in General Dog Discussion
I walk 2 at the same time but only in an area that I know. I happily walk my Lappie anywhere she is very easy. I was walking my deerhound and GSD X years ago when the deerie saw something and took off breaking his collar -the GSD X sat straight away so I was pulled by the deerie but ended up spinning around the GSD X and falling over her - not very elegant and it did teach me not to buy cheap collars. -
I shouldn't have read this thread - .............................

That is very cute - I always have cats "helping" me exercise - nothing like a loud Siamese meow in the ear when trying to do pushups
-
And what about an untrainable owner or an owner with a trainable dog that doesn't train I have done the survey for both mine and the only question that I got stuck with was about fear and barking/excitement - my Lappie is generally fearless but loves to "talk" about everything and to everyone she meets. Corvus I am looking forward to hearing more when this is finished

Your Experience With Registered Breeders
sparkycat replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
Well I had a great response - the first breeder I contacted was and still is lovely - we went on her waiting list and luckily someone dropped off so we got our pup only a couple of weeks after contacting her . Our dog is now almost 3 years old and we are still in regular contact and I know she is always there to answer any questions - I have also talked to other Lappie breeders and and they have all been great. It is really disappointing to hear about so many bad experiences :D -

Sounds like fun -I will bring Jaana for a "chat"

It was a great meet even if Jaana and I crashed it - it was lovely to see the littlies out and about and we even had a little toddler with Dad enjoying them.

I have a Catit drinking fountain inside and the dogs and cats love it but splash water all over the place. I put a large plastic lid off a cheap shop tub underneath the drinking fountain and it does stop the floor getting soaked.
-
I will drop in and meet the littlies but I will leave Jaana at home - she might scare them with her "talk"

It was good but we missed Earl drool

Hi we used to live near Morphettville Racecourse and our dogs got a couple of ticks - I think they were called cow ticks and our vet said they definitely weren't paralysis or harmful.
