  1. looks good... but i prefer homemade
  2. haha dogs are sooo smart... my dog that passed a yr ago used to do that... he would be sent for a wee at night, lift his leg up for 2 seconds and walk proudly back inside
  3. As long as its only in areas that are designated off lead areas It's illegal to walk dogs off leash anywhere but the designated areas, and the council will fine you for it. Yep There's a great dog walk 5 mins drive from me at the base of Mt Cootha (brisbane) :D
  4. Beautiful dog mate... Just search through these forums and you'll be sure to find anything you need to know plus a whole lot more! I know i did
  5. Felt good reading this thread! Great work DOL dogs! They're all so great!
  6. Haha i have the exact same feeling! When i train my guy Grizzly i feel great when he learns a new thing.. even today when i took him for his first walk and taught him to heel and sit everytime i stop walking i got a huge buzz from it
  7. No need to panic - that amount will be fine. It she ate the entire bag...that may be a different story. Thats good to hear... had me worried
  8. That's horrible! This really makes me mad... please name the horrible Bed and Brekkie
  9. My little guy gets he's final vaccination this weekend (16 weeks) ... i took him for a little stroll today to get used to the lead and harness.. He's only met my Aunty's and Uncle's dogs so far when they came to my house when he was around 12 weeks... Can't wait to take him to the beach in a couple of weeks!
  10. I took my little guy on his first walk today... he was using a collar and was a little bit scared of the whole experience so he didn't want to go anywhere.... when i pulled him a little he whimpered so i quickly ran home and put his harnest on.. he seemed alot better with the harnest and seemed to calm down a bit eventually im going to walk him off lead when he gets older so temporarily the harnest is good...
  11. I'm feeding my little guy a mixture of raw and dry (orijen) ... IMO raw is great, you should give it to your pup and see how they respond... Grizzly goes nuts for it!
  12. My boy (16 weeks) loves the stairs in our place... only problem is that its the only place in the house thats carpeted... I woke up a couple of days ago to find all of his toys neatly scattered on the stairs, along with some sticks from outside
  13. That's horrible I feed my boys liver treats during training, they don't consume overly too much as i just give them little pices each time but maybe i should start mixing it up
  14. I agree... unfortunatly tough love is the answer Good Luck!
  15. At the moment i'm giving my pup chicken necks... bought some turkey but they're a bit too big for him at the moment.. Anyway i've heard a bit about fish but just wondering if it is safe? Really worried the sharp bones could hurt him internally.. If i were to give him some fish what type would i give and would i give him the whole thing? (without the head??) Thanks, Josh
  16. I have the same problem with my puppy.. he was bred in poor conditions with alot of rivaly when it came to feeding time. So when the food is out he feels as though he has to gulp it down as fast as he can. He seems to have slowed down gradually though since i got him, and seems to be taking a little bit more time.. still he doesn't chew very much Good Luck!
  17. I agree with most of the consenses... my boy was on eukanuba for the first part of his life before i changed him to innova for puppies about 3 weeks ago... he seemed to be doing fairly well with that but i decided to give Orijen a go, along with some homemade BRAW with supplements... so far so good... his coat is exceptional, his poo's are medium but turn hard in a couple of days and he seems happier To give you an idea, Eukanuba that has a 1 star rating on Dog Food Analysis cost me around $100 for 15 kg, where as Oijen with a 6 star rating, costs me $120 for 13kg... well worth the few extra pennys
  18. Great! Thanks for that... Just to be annoying just wandering what you do in regards to the vitaman e? Is there a dog supplment for it or is human ok? (sorry i'm a newbie :S ) Thanks, Josh.
  19. Hi That's what i was wondering to. My pup Grizzly is going on 4 months. He's a Groodle and around 10kg. I'm thinking about starting him on fish oil tablets. Are human fish oil capsules alright if i squeez the oil into his food? Also how much should i give him? Would he need other vitmans too, will fish oil make him deficient in E for example? Thanks, Josh.
