  1. Gee 7 weeks!!! That breeder should be shot. Way too young for a toy poodle to leave his/her dam and siblings. All the advice given above has been good. How about you come over and visit the poodle thread in breed sub forum. Pics are a must
  2. I'm with PF on this one. Depending on how bad they are flaking and if they are starting to separate I would seek vets advice. Ask for a blood test for auto immune disorders.
  3. Does your camera have a portrait setting? The picture of a head on the dial. This setting blurs the background.
  4. Oh boy!!! That is a tough one. Have you tried cooking any of the meat to give it a tasty smell?? When all else fails here I use cooked/roasted chicken or cooked beef tongue. You could also try a cooked lamb shank. Personally I would just go back to basics and not give them such a big choice. Try cooked chicken mince with plain yoghurt mixed in and a bit of cheese. If not beef mince with the cheese semi cooked. Good Luck!
  5. Fair call I did read your diet and please don't think I was picking on you - not the case at all. Just making sure you had all bases covered.
  6. I know puppies can be little piggies but could it be that your JRT is still hungry hence gorging the food. Is your puppy getting the correct nutritional balance for its age? Have you wormed your puppy regularly? I know the JRT's can be busy little people and burn up their food so maybe give puppy an additional meal at bedtime. My 4 month old puppies are on 3 meals a day of chicken necks crushed, chicken/beef/ lamb mince what ever I defrost for the big kids with added vegetables, eukanuba biscuits available 24/7 together with puppy milk each meal and water available all the time. At bed time they get puppy milk and a pigs ear to munch on.
  7. The best thing to do is google what you are tying to do. Heaps of them will come up for you to try.
  8. I have had many a poodle puppy with car sickness. Like many I have tried all of the above with little or no success until I used Maxalon. It is safe to use on the little guys, they do not get drowsy and I have found it helps them to grow out of the sickness. I used to have a litter of 3 ooey, gooey and spewey they were shocking. Drooling and vomiting everywhere. I had to take them to QLD from NSW in the car and was beside myself just thinking about the poor ittle guys being so sick for so long. After speaking to my vet he suggested the maxalon. I gave it to the 3 kids (just 3 months old at the time) and they were fine. The travelled up and back on the tablets with no problems what so ever. I continued to use the maxalon until they were about 6 months old as they were show dogs and by this time they were more comfortable with the travelling and over the travel sickness. I still have ooey and gooey and they both love the car and travel well. Personally I would go to the vet and ask for maxalon. If you have to travel a distance why not make the trip as pleasurable as possible for both you and your dog?
  9. Does the pink testicle feel the same as the normal one? Are they both around the same size, shape and feel? Is there any reaction when you apply gentle pressure in the pink spot?
  10. Harminee's looks much better, more in proportion then mine. I only had a quick play Mind you so would have Harminee. Only takes her a few minutes to do what it takes us newbies hours Great work Harminee.
  11. If you have ps then you would use the transform function. Select the hat with the magic wand or similar to get the marching ants, select either free transform or transform, then rotate, enlarge, shrik the hat to fit.
  12. Aww he is a cutie. Good work Rocco!
  13. Thats pretty cool Iltby. Wajoma - nice work. We need more inspiration. Although I must admit I have been rather slack and haven't done anything for ages... Slap on wrist for me
  14. Many moons ago my toy poodle (6 months old) did a similar thing to me. We were happily walking at the far end of the school oval which was accross and down the road a bit from my house. No signs of him wanting to go anywhere and he was quite happy walking along side me so I let him off the lead. Big mistake.!!! He took one look at me and then bolted. It was like watching the tazzie devil in action accross the oval. I was young and fit but no way could I keep up with the little devil. I was panicking as I paid a lot of money for this little show dog and he was well on his way to becomming a pancake if I didn't catch him. I lost sight of him as he rounded the side of the school heading for the road. That's it I thought, squashed poodle for sure. I couldn't run at speed any longer so dropped back to a defeated jog. As I rounded the corner where he was last sighted I was greated by the little black ball of fluff sitting patiently waiting for me Little so and so!!!! I wanted to yell and scream at him but how could I??? I scooped him up, kissed him, thanked god and every other devine spirit in the universe and walked home. Needless to say he never went off lead after that. It wasn't until he was about 2 that I could trust him off lead at the oval. It still worries me today and I hardly ever let my kids run free. Good luck with Pepper. The thing that did help us was obedience training. We only did 3 level but it was enough to give him some manners and a decent recall. Although that all goes out the window when something catches his beady little eyes. Gotta love those instantly deaf dogs when in chase mode...NOT!!
  15. Difficult to say without being there. If they were of a different type of hair then the rest of the body then yes it was his eyelashes. If it was don't panic as they will grow back as they fall out and replace themselves like ours do. Maybe you should try and keep the hair on his head and tail brushed every couple of days to prevent the matting... I would also check under his front legs as this is a problem area as well. Good luck!
  16. I like that pic Palne. Now you need to explain to me how you did it again... Please
  17. Sorry won't lessen the odds either.. I have had a 4 month old cock his leg so what will be will be. Maybe put some plastic behind the doggy loo - just in case. Personally I wouldn't de sex before 6 moths of age and usually I let them go until about 8 or 9 months so they hve grown and matured properly. JMO.

    2 Poodle Puppies

Oh boy!!! You are in for a real treat!!! I agree with everything PF has said to you. It isn't now you will have issues - it is down the track. You are already experiencing the start of trouble. One crying after the other one.... These dogs need their independence from each other, they time alone, they need your one on one attention and they need training. If you do not start to become the pack leader these two dogs will walk all over you I'm afraid.. You won't stop them barking at each other when playing - that is what it is. You will need to get on top of the crying when one is out of sight of the other, barking when people come to your house. This may not be evident now but when the dogs get older and become possessive of the house because it is theirs then this will start. The barking will then be when they can see someone near the house, a dog goes, a bird is on the front lawn by etc etc. Not many poodles can resist a bark at those types of things. Please excuse my bluntness here but I hope you are planning on getting your puppies desexed when the time is right as it sounds like you have one male and one female.
  19. King you should also flatten your image so you can save it as a jpeg when you are finished with it. What this does is finishes off all the layers so..... if you are still wanting to adjust or change things you will need to save it as a PS file. Hope that makes sense??
  20. Standard is still very high!! Excellent work guys. I hope to get in and do some work soon...
  21. All right Harminee. I will find some pics for you so you can do a siggy for me. May take sometime though as I have thousands of poodle pics... Remember they are not easy to work with.
