  1. Envy is beautiful!! We have a Mal at the club I train with and she is such a beautiful girl, if it wasn't for the energy levels I could steal her. She's a super worker too, which makes me want to steal her more. But I'd need to have an off button. Nova's coat is really growing! I wanted to meet Sumo tonight, but I had to put my car in the shop for some work. (Brakes aren't that important, are they?) Haven't had many shots of Willow lately, it's been a pretty hectic week at home and at work, or she's too darn quick to take a photo of. Like the time she stole $5.00, or when she was doing victory laps with the weeds she helped us pull, or loving on the nextdoor neighbours greyhound like a mad, obsessed Fan Girl in the back seat of my car. Don't know what the drivers behind me thought, I must have looke like I was drunk.
  2. I have an old film cannister (does anyone remember them?) filled with puppy teeth from two dogs I owned 20 years ago. I think I'm sad. I do have other small things from other dogs over the years. Sadly a lot of it has been lost in multiple moves.
  3. It wouldn't just be kennel fees that would go up. If it's a test case, then the same thing would apply to vets wouldn't it? I feel horrified that animals were put into this situation, something completely avoidable. But I have some mixed feelings about the whole story and the way it was written. But then that could be said for a lot of news stories lately.
  4. That's pretty much how I feel, when I read the article.
  5. Just how thorough are they or will they be in their investigations of incidents? I'm really curious. What if the 'attacking' dog was provoked in anyway? It all looks grand and good on the surface, but I can see a time when people are going to feel really anxious about any social contact with others 'just in case' something goes wrong.
  6. Lisa, there was one guy tracking his 8 week old puppy for the first time. He was so teeny! I was face palming and groaning. Because if I had known I could've started her as early as that I probably would have! I was pleased when I did more obedience today how quickly she remembered. Couldn't do tracking because there is too much traffic on our local ovals. I even did some work with Dory. I think I might make Dory my clicker guinea pig. She was less than impressed with me asking her to "work".
  7. Willows first big day if training. Tracking followed by obedience. She did really well. :D Have to keep up the momentum.
  8. I'm more worried about the ... pussy And no beaver.
  9. Yep. We've had a few interstate puppies that were sold to SA as microchipped. Only to find out at a subsequent vet visit that they weren't. Most of these were oodles.
  10. I think I'm going to need a blood sugar test. This thread has been saturated with sweetness. Although this kind if sweetness is definitely good for you. Obi is pretty cute too. Those BIG ears. I'm a sucker for big ears and paws.
  11. Thanks Lisa. We think she's pretty cute too. :D We are still struggling with house training at home.
  12. Willow has now been given the nickname... WILLBOW WAGGINS Kids, you just can't leave them alone. Here's some shots of me walking them for the first time together without assistance.
  13. Ditto. that puppy is so cute ... big plus that your bf likes him .. Tyrion is another little stunner ... Nova and Brock ..... :) so our news is ... 2 more sleeps to go we have to be at the airport by 12:30 on Saturday to pick up the young lad here is a sneak-peak ... Introducing - Master Finnigan 9 week old whippet What a Sweet, Sweet, Sweeeeet face.
  14. I've got two exclusively fed raw feeders here. One puppy, adult. Dory (adult) will also not touch offal with a barge pole, no matter how you disguise it. She gets eggs, sardines (tinned...she hated the dried fish and not keen on raw) and the occasional supplement. Willow got offal early, at first she wasn't too sure but now she's more than happy. I actually find it challenging to do both, as the dogs get too fat and then the raw food ends up being so small in portion that it's a pain to manage. I'm also not too fond of 'dog food poo', I still get some formed and some not. On raw, even the odd soft poo is loads easier to pick up.
  15. Thanks Twodoggies. I feel relieved. It's very hard to look at commercially fed littermates growing like weeds in front of your eyes and then look at your own little muscle puppy who still looks like a pimple in comparison. That said, she's certainly not floppy or flabby and LOADS of energy to burn. And it has been commented already that she doesn't smell 'doggie'. :D
  16. Awesome Disco!!! So....when? (not impatient much...nah...not much) :)
  17. Sounds like a deal to me. :D When's he coming home?
  18. I haven't seen this proposal. I know that the Dog and Cat Management Board were supporting compulsory desexing. (Which I protest, I have a real problem with the word compulsory, but not desexing. Use some other incentive rather than.....compulsory...and I still reckon even then there needs to be practical exemptions) Oh, and PS....I am not a breeder, I don't plan on becoming a breeder and I have a dog I won't be desexing because I wish to show her. (Which apparently makes me a back yard breeding puppy farmer in some circles)
  19. Congrats!!! Both to you and Tango. I hope we get to know that buzz oneday.
  20. PLEASE...more photo's. :) We have nicknamed Willow, Pirhana Puppy. The only time she has an 'Off" button is when we have exhausted her, then fed her...or we stick her in a crate. She's really not very good at recognising when she needs to sleep, unless we make her. She just gets wound up even more, like an over tired toddler. Even Dory has been looking very dishevelled and tired. (I'm surprised she has any fur left on her, Willow loves to grab her fluffy bits)
  21. I check at least twice a week/day. LOL. Lately I've been pretty busy. Not as much time to be more specific in complementing people on their very cute long awaited babies or empathise with those still waiting. ETA: i feel guilty. Especially when I've been plastering Willow everywhere.
  22. Can I say....Beautiful puppies. :) I've never seen a corgi pup before. We have..... Wonky Ear Willow. And Gimme gimme gimme.
  23. I haven't been keeping up. So more puppy pics to come? Welcome to those newly joining the waiting queue. Lhok, I'm not good at waiting either. I hope it goes swiftly for you. We've been having a really challenging day with Willow today. She's turned into one of those spoilt brats you'd happily back hand, down the supermarket when their parents aren't looking. (I blamed her parent.)
