Challenged by a fever and lack of desire I ventured out last night and took some pics. Firstly I tried to get a series of pics of a neighbours white cat, only snapped a quickie before its owner came over asking me to pleeeease come and take photos of the other pets...and so the opportunity gone. So proceeded to the park. Thought id centre my attention on a tree...it had good texture..my daughter liked the bug we found Then we decided to have some fun with shadows with the last bit of sun that was quickly fading...it looked ok through the lens...but on editing I think it could warrant a 'graphic' warning...totally unintentional...do we have a 'not what I expected thread???" But then maybe its my fever playing tricks on me... -

Love the froggy! Was 'quite unwell" yesterday...spent much time in bed. Got up this morning to this and well Ill say its day 13 post. Oh the dillemma when you are sick(single) and your 10 yr old is given free range for a while....hmmmm lets see...she had a drink, changed her top, watched tv and a video. It still feels like 40 deg here at the computer so I dare say Im still not well. -
Thanks for the input (and patience) I was crook as yesterday spending most of the time in bed. Your asessment is as it prints...heavy on pink and yellows. Now...the original tiff referred to unprocessed...other than exposure. It was shot in RAW...but I dont have a website...any ideas????
-
This is the jpeg....of theoriginal TIFF file. I use pb to upload. If you let me know how to post RAW file I will gladly do. Just checked my settings on camera- set for srgb...would that have any effect??? I have never had this problem before ( started thinking id inadvertedly changed a setting somewhere?????) Use TEDS for printing. Digital Works is basically a stones throw away but I dont have the workload. Thanks

Taken on an early walk day 12 -
Hmmm.....I assume my monitior is rgb yes? Would printers include those at processers outlets? Totally confused now...please forgive my ignorance Basically the result im after is the image on screen is the image in print. Oh...and if anyone is willing someone to try and get the colors right in my pic.
-
I have been reading with interest the monitior calibration issues. I have a samsung lcd. Its highest quality is 1440x900 32bit. When I do editing the resultant image appears much poorer in print than the image saved onscreen. I have much trouble with skin tonings. I have this rare shot of my autistic son....he has a grin (LOL) but I cant seem to edit it right for print. It is taken in raw format....slightly cropped prior to editing. Im sure its got more to do with me than the monitior but I guess Im trying to improve the odds of getting it right.

Thanks for the ref- good read.

Just love geckos...I love watching them do their 'territory dance" on ceilings. Too hot to venture outside..Miss Rosie had another bath after mischief...was not too impressed. If she had her way it would be posted under non urgent rescue. -
As I walk the dogs I have carried my camera around my neck....trying to do the Jan challenge. I absolutely have loved the streetscape/ people shots. Has anyone here got any amusing stories or such about being approached in public about taking photos. Are there any restrictions re taking shots of the general public?

Really hot here...early walks. Took a quickie shot of this lovely aged border we met along the way. Her owner described themselves as 'two older ladies going for a walk.' Dont you just love it when you see wonderful owner/dog relationships that get better with time. -

Mum's home. Loving all the pictures, superb and appreciating the wonderful editing. You guys/gals are so talented. -

I have d/l Lightroom beta to try the program. Firstly, I now want to reedit all my photos! Can lightroom remove blemishes...etc or is that a PS job? I do not have PS (I use Paintshop Pro)...as yet! Can lightroom covert files? How do I export files for emailling? ? Is it a sin to play with your photos on your day off when the washing pile is stopping you going out your backdoor
