Sounds like these heroic dogs sufferred terribly and were let down by the person they defended with devotion.

This is very interesting....originally I thought as gila did when I took the photos. But when it came to posting them I hesitated as I am unsure of my rights vs other interests. I happily took pictures only as I love photographing dogs and I had been requested there to take pictures of a friends dog. There were camera phones and cameras everywhere, thus I took other photos also. Would the rules re: taking photos be on the purchase ticket (like at concerts)? Also when you pay to be somewhere doesnt that entitle you to record the experience in pictures? Eg Like the Grand Final? What about dog shows??? Agreed about respecting rights of those who pay to take pictures...Im just asking questions to learn more about rights etc... Is the deciding factor if you 'sell' the pictures? Any input re:posting pics online is welcomed also. Is there a source to get such information?

Oh Im so sorry to hear of this....I had issues last month- the sd card broke (in camera-of course). Its like a sad helpless feeling- you are powerless to help 'revive' your best friend. Aside from being totally untimely. Where have you considered taking it...several friends and dol ppl have told me Shutterbox in Camberwell is good.

Do I keep the raw & jpeg? raw and tiff?

At Expo one of my photo crouches went horribly wrong.....taking a pic of a friends dog, knees down, shuffled back...my left knee found....ugh lets say it was not nice.

Ok....im getting unpopular in the com,puter quarter of my household. My computer has just advised me that I am all but out of space on my hard drive. It used to be 3/4 full. So with raw ,tiff ,backup files, original files I realise that many pics are duplicate....so whats my next step? I guess an external harddrive. But do I keep all the copies or start culling? Do I need all the copies???Im a self diagnosed photo hoarder...looking for asensible solution..

A friends dog had a thing for dallys.....he would bark and act up if a dally crossed his path at a show. Problem was - he shared the same group as dallys so if in for the group specials it was always an interesting time if a dally was present. Dont think he had any bad experience with dallys......maybe he was more into stripes than spots!

Look forward to seeing your shots jettyset...Im learning everyday in here I am a true beginner and I havent been booted for asking too many questions....yet LOL. There are some really cool photographers here. Its a friendly place to be.
