I have been in my fav toy shops of late looking at a macro lens purchase. Ideally I LOVE the 100mm 2.8 Canon. But I am all nikon so thats out of the question! I LOVE the idea of the 105mm 2.8 (pricier than canon equivelant). I want to be able to focus on the mini world, bugs and the like. Yes it would be lovely to have a dual purpose for the lens (portrait) but im not all that fussed- I love my 50mm lens I use currently. One salesperson let me loose with a Tamron 90mm 2.8 but I found it a bit plasticy and it 'shuddered' as it focused on my d90. Havent really looked at a sigma equivelant. I am trying not to buy a lens that will ultimately disappoint me for what I want to use it for. Any ideas????

If you planned on having her desexed as she has been diagnosed with inheritable issue, why did you let the accidental mating progress to a whelping, given all the trouble this lil mite has had past whelpings? What will you tell the prospective puppy buyers?

Thanks everyone for sharing.....ill put my 'crazy dog woman' reputation away for the while....reading the replies to my post is like a warm group therapy! Yeah for doggie theme songs!!!

How awesome is that!....felling not so crazy now...I have theme song company!

I have two poodles..Luci and Rosie...They both have theme songs...Luci's is "La la la Luci" (to the tune of (car car caracha) and Rosies is "My Rosita" (themed to my sharona). My late blu poodle always did this funny dance when I was drying her post wash...like a tap dance....her theme song was "I feel Blue" (themed to I feel good). My friend was giggling at me yesterday as I sang to my rosie...then sheepishly admitted her dog also had a theme song. My last gsd "sheeba" used to get "she bop" sung to her...it was the in song at the time... Am I just a nutter? Dont all dogs have theme songs????

Hoping all is ok...OP please update!!!!

My lil Rosie is gaining the reputation of "doona ferret" This winter she has got the habit of wriggling down the doona nose first and getting cosy spooning me under the cover. It all got unstuck last week...it musta been extra cold cos I woke up to the sensation of my doona ferret heading down the back of my jammies!!!!!

Thank you to all who saved her. At least she left this world with some dignity and is free from the pains of this world. You are all angels.

Condolances to all involved. Such a sad thing to have happened.

Hope all goes well for your little puppy. Could it be calcuim issues/growth spurt? With an unknown care history is this being considered? I am not familiar with panno....hoping for favorable results.

I dont intend on giving up my employment situation tomorrow! It is still a hobby but I wanted to be lawful & protected whilst offering to do pictures like for those waiting for me to say yes. I am always up front on the experience I have and they are in no obligation to buy. It just would be nice to be covered for travel etc.. Thank you all for the advice.

Thank you Linda K I appreciate the time you have taken in explaining this. I acknowledge what you have said. I have much to learn still but have been concentrating on my light use so its great to have feedback on what Ive been working on as well. Aways keen to learn.

In my experience dobes play sook really well...my ol girl used to do it all the time. She had intermittent lameness which lead me to take her to work (vet clinic) turns out she was fine. Everytime she ate kibble and stood on a piece she'd limp for three days.

Note for your friend desexing is best for non breeding animals which are "retired". This automatically cuts the need for BYB and onsellers gaining the animal for business concerns. An entire purebred dog avail for free is like a magnent for these sorts. This sounds like a very sad situation for your friend (and her dog) I hope she finds him soon and it can be resolved. As the dog was listed for sale/ftgh what claims will they be able to execute if they located the dog, granted someone may have purchased it when re sold??? It has no been stolen, nor has there been a contract re onselling or return it seems??? I wish the writer all the best in finding her dog, will keep my eye out. Dont forget to check Gumtree- there are a few BYB devotees there I fear.

um...she is called bug for a reason LOL Her head looks and is like a chi size and her body looks grafted on a chubby pug body....isthat what you mean? Agreed with background looking distracting, I should watch for that. My pictures were really just snaps taken during coffee break when studying lol Yes I wasnt feeling much like study!

I like that idea fdt. I print my pics at professional printer when providing pics to even my friends! I am not seeking to compete at a professional level at this stage of my interest, merely to supply nice pics as mementos to those who want simple pics of their dogs to enjoy. I have done this for free in the past but due to increased interest think I should start charging something to cover costs, edit time and some equipment reimbursement. The attraction of working with different subjects to learn more is enticing. With five people on hold I was examining options.

Good idea Kirslin. I was actually attending a study group, so when there was a break I took out my camera and shot these. All pictures were taken by me sitting in an armchair- I didnt move around at all! It is what one does to keep awake when one is tired after a days work prior to study group. Thanks for your looking!
