  2. Rest In Peace Sam. Condolences to your family. Beautiful tribute.
  3. Cursed ticks.... condolances for the loss of 'Bruce".......now over the rainbow bridge
  4. Oh my how awful for you & Tess. I pray that tomorrow you get the answers you seek. **Healing vibes*** going your way.
  5. Love your fly shots Kirslin. And wow what a website....now I can put a name to those freaky spiders as well!!!!
  6. Beautiful shots of Holly. She has a wisdom in those eyes.
  7. Gee looks like Ive been sourcing in the wrong place! Thank you all for your info & links. I have found an online store called digital rev...has anyone purchased from them?
  8. I did look at US stores...I understand that if it is under 800...duty isnt paid at border ...but not 100% sure. Nikkor 105mm 2.8.( Depending on price I was thinking of upgrading my 70-200mm for the 70-300mm vrII.) Was quoted $2300 for both in a walk in store. Primarily though I really want to 105mm....I thought about the 60mm, but having tinkered with a friends 105mm I like it a lot.
  9. Kirty, I am so sorry this happened to you. I had a bunny (stray) for some six years. One day after my visitors had left I heard this awful shrill. Unbeknown to me my visitors child had let my bunny out......with my 4 poodles he didnt have a chance. I felt sick and very angry. I send my best wishes at this time, unfortunately sometimes things happen....I agree with Wendy H comments... be kind to yourself.
  10. Ok Christmas is just around the corner and I believe Ive been a good girl and without a partner to dispute this fact i think I deserve a new lens. I have gone to the city and got my quotes from the main players retail...Camera house, Teds & Michaels. For half the price there are options like digital rev and such online options. For the cheaper price...is it a gamble? Are you getting the same product? Im not flushed with cash but I would rather pay more or wait rather than take a chance with my purchase. Am I being overly fussy??? I do like to deal with people direct, if only for someone to hear my opinion should something go wrong.
  11. Hmmmm..have 2 poodles. Rosie is a red curly poodle who is an extrovert, but at times chooses to act introverted, can be a bit eccentric....and just want to be loved by everyone....Mika.. Luci my apricot constantly craves attention: she likes to stretch out in a very unladylike manner on the bed, pouts and thinks shes a princess...Christina Aguilera.
  12. Luci right, Rosie left. These two are both best buds, but being bitches can be competitive at times. Had to grab the camera off the table quickly; they were focused on a fly buzzing around the front window, they rarely sit that close! Quick snap.
  13. I know its hurting right now, and yes that image you see is so vivid. But in time you will focus on all the joys that you shared and the love that she gave you. Console yourself that you were with her till the very end and the love you had together was such a blessing. She leaves for the rainbow bridge knowing she was much loved. Rest in Peace sweet Shannon.
  14. What a gentle face, beautiful big boy. I am sorry for your loss. It hurts I know. Remember the joys he gave you. He will not be alone as he crosses the rainbow bridge.
  15. Miss Mimi (aka Minnie me) From 4 weeks of age i knew you were destined to live your life with me. Your mother, Emma was my true heart dog, as you were from her last litter,..and your birthright, guaranteed that you would never leave us. You loved us as much as we loved you, but you loved your mother just that bit more. She was your protector, your teacher & for the most part she really never let you grow up. Even on your 12th birthday your mother insisted chasing you around the yard making the 'this is for you eat it' squeak we knew so well. I laughed as you cleverly hid from her, only to be found and, as her loved child, would force yourself to eat her 'present' no matter whether you wanted it or not...all for the sake of peace. I remember feeling confused as first you curled your lip up at me if I looked at you out my bedroom window......only to realize you were indeed smiling. It was your special ability. You were always smiling at me. Your mum did all the talking, never once did we hear you bark. Then the fateful night your mum crossed the bridge aged 18 you knew life had changed.....you stood over your old frail mother and howled. From that day on your bark arrived. As your mother took her last breath I promised her that I would protect you, her precious one,as she had for 14yrs. My heart knows that I kept that pact until your last breath. Yesterday you seemed perfectly fine, maybe a little quiet in the evening. But you didn't rush when I called 'din dins'. For a half blind girl who could detect a smacko packet opening three rooms down i knew something was wrong. I picked you up, you were shaking. You snuggled into me. I saw the look in your eyes- you knew you were leaving us. I didn't want to believe what you were trying to convey. I kissed you and we all said our goodbyes. You looked around, put your head down and your breathing grew deeper till you peacefully left this world. I am left with loving memories of you (not many photos as you hated my camera) and a peace that I was with you until the end. Im still crying as I watch Luci looking for you around the house....I so wish I could ease her anxieties.....for the last year she has been your eyes & minder, and right now she is at a loss to where you are. I know one day I will see you at the bridge, but until then I console myself that you are with your mother Emma again...content and pain free. Rest my dear Mimi...you gave me the best gift of 16yrs of love and devotion.....how blessed was I.
  16. Do you have foxtel ? Does it have parental canine control? Maybe not? She looks very comfortable there, very cute.
  17. Lovely pic....even more lovely model.
  18. Your dog needs surgery and surgery now.........there are two new graduates...one has done many nr surgeries whilst studying, the other has never been outside of a textbook(aka like jessies ideal world) I know which vet Id choose. There are somethings that need hands on experience in which to develop further learning. Such experience saves alot more than having not had the experience. People training to be vets are there because they have compassion and the desire to save animals, not because they want to play God with hapless, homeless creatures. Best save the petitions for the cosmetic industry and " research" whaling.
  19. A guy at work has 2 of these......he is into military histories and such I call him the Duke (of York..shire!)
