  1. Awwwwww......that pic screams "you know you cant leave here without taking me with you"
  2. Shell......your " Im loving" series has been wonderful. It reminds me of a saying I have on one of my screen savers... “One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon-instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today.” Dale Carnegie quotes (American lecturer, author, 1888-1955) Enjoyed your photos.

  13. Worked in Vet nursing for 5 yrs. I found I had an ability to connect with owners who were facing the decision to put their terminally ill pet to sleep, I managed to hold back my tears by consoling the owners...off course Id have my howl laters. There were alot of joyful stories amongst the sad ones...its the motivation that often drove me even when I was having a 'dark' day at the surgery. I must say though it was the growing resentment of bad owners and their careless attitudes (and the fact that they often repeated their behaviour) that lead me to leave nursing : I nearly developed a permanent wound from biting my tongue. I left with good memories.
  14. What a gorgeous face, aw those eyes!
  15. CC Thats just great news about Daisy. Day 25 went for a hike through Botanic gardens, time out to small the roses. Just joey...my favorite. 25 Day26 Australia day, tired from the day before, guess Australia is famous for its bugs! 26

  17. I use Lightroom, trust me, I am still learning new things every time I use it. Dont be so hard on yourself Kirislin, Some of your portraits done on your macro have been pin sharp to my memory, lighting may have been different. Your photos are always a joy to look at. Just the other day I did a series of photos full manual, they were nothing short of fantastic...I felt like Id found the camera action I had missed out on (mainly through lack of confidence) and well though there are hits n misses I am determined to keep working till I get it right. No doubt you will eventually find out what suits what your looking for also. You have summed up my feelings at times in this topic: I understand what your frustration is.
  18. TD Love that flame robin. What a flash of color.
  19. Dust Angel- those eyes on Flute are priceless!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Luci is a stealth licker, she come in for the lick and I say "No Licking!!!" She turns her head away from where she wanted to lick and slowly retreats. She has this nasty habit of 'getting the tongue in" when people nurse her on their laps, most people have been warned of Lucis prowess so it is only successful when someone isnt paying attention.
  21. So true, an act that sadly happens all too frequently in this 'disposable' world. Having worked in a shelter I so wanted to love up all of the oldies, unlike the young optimistic dogs, they had such sadness on their hearts. Only chocolate should be an impulse buy. ♥
  22. Interesting spider- do you have an id?
