Both my girls travelled by interstate flights ( a journey that involved a plane change midway) Both times they were handled outside their crate. I was told this but was ok with it as I was happy that they were out of their crate which would give a true visual assessment. I have heard horror stories of dying pups being observed as ok in the crate and given water.... I agree with you that only security cleared personnel should be handling though.

Do all dogs score the same sheep? The toughness of the sheep is apparent in the photos. Great shots. Love a working dog.

I owned a samoyed x once who had a few on his body. He developed one around the collar area about the size of a10c piece. I would drain them, they would reform. Only surgical removal would solve the problem. When we shaved the leg to administer the iv he had small cysts forming along the length of his leg...like a series of mossie bites. he lived to a ripe old age but had these scattered all over his body...when they developed into larger cysts and become troublesome they were removed. To memory as he got older the condition eased somewhat. I always assumed it was his coat type (incorrectly I believe) that may have predisposed him to it.

Dieting Doggy...harder Than It Sounds..
redangel replied to redangel's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
A little bit keggy is exactly the term for my girl...she has lost her waist & up until we started the diet one had to dig a bit to count her ribs. Now her covering is lighter over the ribs, but we have a bit of a plateau. Now...I apologise for not putting the breed....she is a toy poodle. Very active, very hyper at times...but loves her food too much. Id say the portion is half cup meat/ rest veges & filler. spell edit
