I was watching a bird fly past as I was sitting outside and it definitely moved swifter than any of the typical magpies & such that live here in droves in suburbia. Closer inspection I saw it was a falcon. I took some snaps of it in fading light...wishing i had a better zoom lens. I was enchanted by his flights, he kept flying off and returning to the same spot several times.... as I took some photos I was slowly gathering a 'bird watching' group as people walking stopped to watch what I was watching. Anyway here are some shots. The light was really fading...I hope I see him/her again given better light, and a better zoom lens (I start my saving fund now)

I have been unwell and so my photos inspiration reflect this. Luci and Rosie all got some awful sticy stuff in their ear hair (was sort of like sap) so I had to shave their ear leathers. Missing their fluffy ears 10/52 Luci adjusts to naked ears... 11/52 Rosie adds more nose marks to the window... 12/52 Luci gets a shoulder rub from my daughter, whose chest she is sitting on

After being rehomed into different homes they have now found themselves together again. Lets hope this duo get to see their days out together.

I do not support DD> As an owner of Poodles I am dismayed at the farming of poodle x's and the apparent demand of the public for such things. Breeds that get popular now are usually shelter fodder the following years. I remember back in the 70's it was the German Shepherd and the many x's, the collies and the various x's....currently it is the staffys and the var x's....lets not mention the poodle/maltese/shittzu x's.... the cost of popularity. I would argue that most recognised breeds were once crosses in their development, but the current popular crosses are not developing a type they are merely developing a profit at the whims of a public that see dogs as a fashion statement. I will not argue about the benefits or lack thereof of DD as they are not a type and therefore as a ctross they are what they are on an induvidual basis.

He is sooo cute...the black mark around his nose in some shots make him look like he has a koala nose, matched with a pair of big ears, he looks like "Stitch" from lilo & stitch!!!! Just a divine little man.

If this paralysis was borne of an accident and was a loved pet I guess it is up to the owner what is "Best" for their loved pet. They would know what quality of life their dog deserves. This is because they have relationship. This pup was fostered ad put up for sale: how does one decide to raise a dog only to burden it with re homing to people who may know nothing of what the dog has been through and needs? To me it is OTT. I fear the unique disability is the attraction here, not value of life.

My daughter wants learn to take better photos. She currently uses a digimax 50 but wants to upgrade. What are some suggested cameras. Not wanting to spend over 300.00. At the moment her focus is to improve composition, and seeks a camera that suits portraiture and some macro. Full auto at this stage.

The black and white merle is a stunner. Is that a registerable color? So beautiful.

Article here Was the sentence so because by having the dogs off the lead they were all not in suitable control by their owners? Do you think that being declared a DD is sufficient when an animal has died? Information is sketchy in this article will investigate further... Edit add link

".....G-Ann - female gorilla born in Oklahoma City 1979 (Fern/Moemba mom/dad). Another great redhead with an attitude, we met G-Ann while she was at the Jersey Zoo. There she strutted and postured and showed off for us, picking up huge chunks of grass from her exhibit and flinging them at visitors making too much noise. She's great! Sadly, she lost part of an arm due to a unanticipated bad reaction to a routine anesthetic prior to her move to Melbourne Zoo in Australia in 1997..." Great photos btw Kirislin- really enjoy looking at them. One day ill make it to a zoo visit.

I had a SWF that was a loving little dog. However she slipped through a fallen paling in the fence(I was not home) and got out. My neighbour 2 doors down tried to catch her as we lived on a main road. He got her, but had 2 good bites to the hand in doing so. She was so freaked out with the traffic and all these people trying to catch her. He called me at work and I came home and collected her. His comment was that he was glad I didnt have a pitty x (as he had 2) pointing to my SWF on the couch with his dogs...the bites would have been worse. He was good natured about it all, he just wanted to save the dog from the dangerous place shed put herself in, he knew she was just frightened. Dogs do act differently in strange situations....I really dont have a comment about what is factual about the story above I have read ( maybe after seeing both sides put their case forward)...I will watch the story with interest. Just wanted to comment on the probability of a dog snapping when frightened, and consider that the size of the dog may have become subjective here.
