So sad for your loss. I had fond memories of owning suburban chooks...all adopted from the local schools "hatch an egg under your jumper" project. The girls, as they were called, happily lived with 7 dogs and it never occurred to them dogs could be dangerous..thankfully they never found out. Im so sorry that you had to experience such a sad event.

Were the dogs microchipped? Send photos and details to all the pounds, vet clinics in the area. Make up posters and letterbox drop in your area. Post a lost notice in the lost & found section of this forum. Visit the pounds, dont just call. Doorknock the immediate area. Unfortunately I have heard of at least four frenchies in this area going missing. Scan the papers, gumtree & tradingpost in case they are being sold on.

I take it that you work and Rascal is with your Aunt all day. What time are you putting into Rascal? Are you training Rascal? Where does Rascal sleep? Do you take rascal with you when you go out? In my experience dogs tend to bond to the person who is most dominant in their lives when in a shared household. It is not as simple as who is feeding them. My kids are great enablers: they feed the dogs willy nilly and let them beg for food. I adjust their food intake for the day taking this in account. When I am not home the dogs are making the kids slaves to their desires. When I get home they play by my rules, happy to do so. I took both to obedience school (they were already well behaved) to reinforce that I am dominant, to set their boundaries and cement our pack relationship. Dogs thrive when given boundaries. I cannot recommend how important training is. As for your Aunt she seems beyond training. You may not be able to work with her but you can work with Rascal. You might not be able to talk to your aunt, but I would talk to your mum. I think the answer is being proactive about Rascal, as some people you cannot get through to.

I have great respect for professional photographers. (Flame Suit on) But lets face it everyone starts somewhere. Good advice LindaK. Some cut it, some dont. Some have good mentors & have resourced great learning courses, others dont progress too far despite their interest/talent. Not all professional photographers have 'years of experience' prior to embarking out into the market, some just 'have it'. Has anyone paid for a professional "pixie" photo??? I have many friends who have...not once did they question the 'abilities' of their photographer. Personally they fail to impress me. Im happy to give my photos away,as not everyone can afford such sittings. I have done some promo stuff (advertising & website) but nothing gives me pleasure than sharing photos with my friends & family. Great gifts. Interesting topic Kirislin. I think donating your talents like you do is awesome idea.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Lovely.

The second one...Somehow I am distracted by the brightblue on the other dog, it takes away from the main subject. Correct me if Im wrong but does the second one apply 1/3rds much better?? IMO only, and Im no expert.
