  1. Im not 100% sure this is correct but I think you are trying to fit too much in to get a shallow dof. I use a larger apperture for closer objects to get shallow dof. More for portrait style? I think if you got down lower you may have just gotten the dog in focus as he/she is closer. Again this may be wrong though
  2. Snap Kirislin!! Yep, check out the directions here http://www.mcec.com.au/Attend/Visitor-Info...-Transport.html
  3. Philip Andrews is talking at 12pm on Sunday. They suggest getting there early to ensure a seat. He is also back at 2:30 with a session called WHO WANTS TO BE A PHOTOSHOP GURU? Panel game show with contestants and great prizes There is also travel photography tips at 10:30 and at 2pm Nick Rains who photographs for national geographic is speaking. Hmm .. what time are other thinking of getting there? I'm thinking about 11ish.
  4. Cam said the same thing Astred! Another friend said how cruel I was for velcroing him there. Not bad for little legs huh?
  5. Im surprised your head fit back in the thread!

  11. Have you heard about this chick called Ruthless!? Her work is brilliant!!
  12. Excellent! Will check them out. Thanks Ruth
  13. Thanks Ruth I think I will wet myself if I see it on TV I have been away for work the last 2 weekends so only really picked the flash up yesterday. Got some rechargeable batteries and then realised they take forever to charge!! Also, my attention span isnt the best so reading a manual does my head in. I want to know it all NOW! Kept this weekend free to get stuck into it.
  14. What a great shot. My 2 are total pashasauruses (yes its a word!) Im yet to catch it on camera though.
  15. He makes me feel dizzy This guys came up next to it. What a clever cookie!
  16. Yup it is! The Canon chick emailed me and said they got some extra air time. I saw the bubbles one too! I still squealed even though it wasnt mine There are 4 ads in total. You can see the others to the right of my youtube clip.
  17. So its time to finally learn how to use this thing!! I have had a look through the manual and as with most things I learn so much better from watching that reading. I have found this site http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101.html which is great but wondering if anyone else had other suggestions. Just wanting the basics then im off to play! YouTube is surprisingly very lacking.
  18. To be honest Im off sick at the momment with the flu so I dont sound too far off that guy! I think originally they mentioned I may have been in it. Things obviously changed. It was very weird to watch a stranger talk about 'Flex' like he was his. They credit me on the Canon site which is cool. Oh well, not much I could have done about that! Im still stoked!! I like the milk one too and the bubbles photo is unreal.
  19. This is my fave too. Neil came across as a tough cookie but I caught a few sweet private moments with his mate
  20. We had a bungee rope hanging from a tree for our Stafford which lasted about 12 months. The only other thing that has survived is their kong. We have tried pumping up soccer balls and basket balls but they are popped pretty much straight away. They still play with them flat though. Even the trees dont last http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=197243
  21. Bahaha! Kirislin thats too funny. I just watched this whilst looking at it and cracked up. Cam just yelled out 'what the hell are you listening too?!' He remembers it from school tlc they were having the time of their lives! They are totally passed out now ;) BT if your ever in Melbourne I'm sure we could arrange for the clowns to put on a show
  22. That was the first thing I did too I think because of the rain the bark was really soft. All the better to peel big bits off ;)
  23. I could hear the dogs playing out in the yard today and went to see what they were doing. They are both usually very vocal but whatever they were doing called for extra grunt! So ... when I found them stripping the tree I knew why! Lucky that tree was coming down anyway I had to grab the camera. and now for Mr Ambitious ;)
