  1. What a load of crap If the Troy behave works, I'd stick with it as an overdose of Tryptophan isn't the best thing to have
  2. Collars - I've heard mixed responses to them. I think the spray on the bedding probably works better.
  3. 99% of NSW kennels will not accept c4, must be c5 vaccinated - most wont even accept Titre testing either.
  4. Hachi makes me cry everytime. I suspect my mothers dog will be much like this if she passes before him The sadness these poor dogs must feel
  5. Geoff Lloyd of Crookwell is instructing a two day school (Saturday and Sunday) Lunch and BBQ dinner on the Saturday and Lunch on the Sunday is provided. Cost is $150.00 Further Details: Call Dave or Val on 49389583 or Dave: 0428124112 Val: 0427389583
  6. There is one out at gresford, if you search for it in the this area, I made a thread months ago. See below
  7. LOL - I don't know if someone said it in jest, but I thought she was having us on lol. It was the nicest JRT i've met though!
  8. A lady at work called her JRT as Jack Russel Terrorist and then told both myself and the vet it isn't terrier, it's definitely terrorist LOL. I thought she was joking, her son informed me she is dead serious lol
  9. Not long in browns, red belly blacks can be a few hours. ETA we had a JRT come in bitten 15 mins before, died 30 mins after initial bite.
  10. I've seen several adult dogs with parvo over the last few months
  11. Its all well and good to do the course etc, but then you've got to get the job. In my graduating year, I ranked #3 in marks in NSW and three years later have only just secured permanent employment.
  12. I was told it was because of ingredient sourcing as well.
  13. If you need some desperately, my work has one bottle left.
  14. Popsicle - I'd probably titre test, but check with your vet if you have a vet you really trust
  15. Thank you, and I was to know this how? Many many people have had their dogs titre tested, the results have come back inconclusive and they have been told (and believe) their dogs have low immunity when there really is no way of knowing this from the titre test. Unless we keep them in glass boxes they're going to be "exposed". I didn't do any judging so sorry you jumped to that conclusion, but I would be incredibly reluctant to continue to vaccinate a dog who's immune system is already seriously compromised. That's MY belief. If I wasn't a nurse in a extremely high parvo area - I may have agreed with you. Sorry if I jumped down your throat Paige has only recently been rediagnosed with cancer and i'm a little touchy about anything to do with her. I have never seen an issue, I've seen hundreds of dogs that are vaccinated from puppy to elderly and not had an issue. Almost every vet i have worked with recommends yearly vacc but doesn't push it IF the owner has valid reasoning. Parvo in our area is rampant and is the really nasty strain that even vaccinated dogs are catching it (no where near as badly however)
  16. Generally in Summer - if my dogs are off - straight to the vets.
  17. Two things here - low immunity judging by what? Titre testing only shows up the antibodies actually in the blood stream at the time. If the dog hasn't been exposed to the virus "recently" then the antibodies won't be wandering around the bloodstream, that's not how the immune system works. The dog could then test as having low immunity when it could be that if the dog encounters the virus it's immune system will actually do what it's meant to do and produce the right antibodies. The cost of vaccinating vs the cost of titre testing may be the reason why some people chose to vaccinate and that's their choice. The cost TO THE DOG is the reason I choose not to vaccinate annually. I ask a simple question - when were you last titre tested or vaccinated for polio? Judging by the fact they are diagnosed with a immunity disorder and one of them has cancer for the second time. My dogs are exposed all the time due to me being a vet nurse. I bring it home no matter how much cleaning and scrubbing I do. Do NOT judge me because I choose to vaccinate to protect my immunity challanged dogs. I respect everyone's decision to vaccinate to their beliefs, so I'd hope people on here would do the same. I really resent the fact you are implying I'm costing my dog
  18. If they aren't firmly attached to the bone, then I'd get them removed, if they are rock solid, I'd leave them
  19. I have two dogs with low immunity that have to be vaccinated almost yearly. Most vets recommend yearly vacc as the cost of titre testing etc puts most people off. Vaccinating is much the same price.
  20. Have had a couple of clients comment on this lately. Not sure if they have changed a source of ingredients or not.
