  1. Bedazzled..sober up...I think you have 2 big brags from last night???? :D
  2. So you compromised your training to take video? All goes back to planning your session me thinks.
  3. I agree with Vickie. Ness, if your issue is lack of access to contacts, then guess what I’d be concentrating on in training at club? You could’ve achieved more in your session if you just worked on the dogwalk…having the tunnel underneath is part of proofing it. I would’ve been ecstatic to get to club and see that tunnel there…wow, I get to proof my dogwalk! Even at home, I would use a long plank and aim to get consistent speed on the whole plank…no creeping. And then I’d go to club and work on that. I’m sure you could put some jumps up off to the side of the full sequences and reward tight front crosses. Video that and look at your cues and YOU work out how to tighten them. Fine tune your rear crosses in a club setting. Until you work out how to cue turns and how to cue acceleration then I wouldn’t be doing full sequences
  4. Yeah, the secret for BOMBING OUT Actually, I do drink mine AFTER I've been in, perhaps I should try drinking one beforehand ;) I think you'll be having a few after your round on the weekend...I saw some NICE work last night. The SFE was looking good
  5. Here are some videos from last night's UD round starring Alex
  6. Great night for obedience Ptolomy's red dogs were awesome and Bedazzled's Brookie was his usual professional self..all lovely to watch :D ...and my Alex got his UD...thanks Alex.
  7. Yes, we missed you :p Someone now has a directed retrieve
  8. I saw the run it was brilliant! I keep threatening to send his sister over, so Caffy can train her . Shine & Snazz met last year at the nationals & were so very cute together, like peas in a pod. I have some great photos of them playing. Send Miss Shine over anytime but I'm not sure much training will get done once Snazz sets eyes on her
  9. Alex doing his heelwork...forging like a steam train but he settled down No handler was damaged in the COP
  10. After a venture out into a Show n Go in Novice, I think i need to work on what to do in between exercises...and to also refresh in my mind what order the Novice exercises are. It's been awhile since I've done Novice and there's been changes It all went past very quickly Thank you to the kind judge
  11. Oh, I don't reckon...Classic isn't too far away
  12. You should do a lesson or two with Sue. She will give you some ideas for you to take home and then you can find a club further down the track.
  13. They crack me up too If you know how to harness that scent drive, they can be quite good at dog sports, I don't know why we don't see more of them around! We have a great little beagle over here in the West by the name of Tammy...lovely little worker. She's done well in obedience and agility.
  14. It's no quick fix, but something I do with my guys if they are dragging me to a nice smell is to ask for a sit or any behaviour and then a release to the smell. It is use of the Premack as bedazzled described and just something I've done since they were pups. HTH
  15. Yeah bedazzled ..Brookie's eyes were definitely open
  16. Here's some examples of distraction training that bedazzled posted previously. http://www.youtube.com/user/bedazzledx2#p/u/3/JQdo2YaoDGo
  17. What is a remote reward?? Is it placed ringside at a trial?
