Mine loves the water too. :)

Same here, I had to stop giving them to my Rhodesian Ridgeback (they are too small). :)
-
No it would not bother me, they all have to go sometime, rhodesian ridgebacks normally live 10-12 yrs, but one of my dogs relatives lived till 16. I love bigger dogs. :)

I have a rhodesian ridgeback & she is 4 in June.

My dog gets scared of fireworks, but only at night as a neighbour let off some big booming ones a couple of years ago. I hate them, they seem to go off all the time here, even at 3am.

I have a 3 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback who is very friendly, I often take her walking on leash at Nurragingy Reserve, near Blacktown.

In NSW I get my turkey necks from IGA in the deli section, not sure if it is the same there.

I have pet insurance with Pet Plan, it is now $45 a month, I am thinking of cancelling next year & just putting that money away or changing too.

My pack - Holly (Rhodesian Ridgeback) - 3 year old.

We have only one rhodesian ridgeback, would love more but the yard is really only big enough for one. We have two cats as well.

I love the update on Charlie, it is nice to hear what he has been up to, he sounds like he has lots of spunk.

ridgiemum replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think the general public think they are everywhere, I got asked today, if my rhodesian ridgeback was a pitbull. -

No problems getting it here in NSW, I buy from either Petstock or Petbarn. :)

I wish I had kept photos Holly's destruction, she thinks anything left in the back yard is hers to play with, we can't have a mat outside as she chews it & runs around playing with it, she has lots of toys & bones too. I love all the photos. :)

We use Holistic Select Large Breed adult for Holly our Rhodesian Ridgeback, her coat is nice & shiny, love it, would not use anything else, we have tried RC, Nutro & had to feed almost double.

Maybe more what I meant to say is a lot of smaller dog owners don't give larger dogs a chance, they just treat them all the same (ie. stay away), normally you can judge each dog individually.

I was so proud of my dog Holly on the weekend (Rhodesian Ridgeback) she has just turned 3 & we take her walking on lead at a park near home. There are a few small dogs she likes to say hello too there. She saw one of her friends & went to see them & 2 other small dogs where there that we did not know & they backed away seeing a large dog, but Holly sat down & let the little dogs sniff her & then laid down also. The 2 little ones we didn't know came over seeing how well Holly was interacting with the other ones. They wanted to know what breed she was & mentioned they had never seen a large dog get on so well with the small dogs. I think Holly changed a few ideas people had about big dogs. Alot of others tend to avoid large dogs at the park.
