I have an Australian Shepherd and an Anatolian x and they both shed constantly. Twice a year my Aussie blows her coat and it's pretty hectic. I constantly have tumbleweeds in my house, I have to sweep/vaccuum every day, twice a day. They both get brushed which helps but their hair is everywhere. All my clothing is covered in hair, I have those sticky barrel hair remover things at home and in my car And at work! I think unless you get a Poodle, the hair will be something you have to deal with!

Yep we've had this happen . If it was them make sure you actually give them a breach notice from Consumer Affairs, if you ever want to get out of the lease due to their behaviour it will help to have a record. I'm so over landlords treating tenants like crap.

Shame On 3aw Breakfast Presents At 5.40am
Dame Aussie replied to GSDowner's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think a few of you need to go and work in a slaughterhouse. You do realise that baby chickens are thrown into blenders because they're males? Sometimes hens are thrown into a pot of boiling water before they're dead. The conditions chickens are kept in are absolutely filthy and inhumane. Animals are "stunned" which doesn't always work as well as it should meaning they die a slow and aginising death. Not to mention the terror they must go through whilst being brought into a place where thousands of other animals before them have been mutilated and left to bleed out. But hey, as long as we don't eat dogs that's all tickety-boo -
Jesus Christ! I tell you what if I found out it was the landlord they'd bloody well regret it.

God dogs are funny. Lili is sitting next to me on the couch and Mo is on the other one about half a metre away from her. She just started growling at him as he got in her face trying to play (she is a grumpy wee thing and does this a lot). He just looked at her, then made a weird growling noise and yawned. He has yawned about 3 times in the space of 1 minute, each time looking at her . Do you think this is him being submissive or just anxious?

I have an Aussie, The thing that attracted me to them was a mixture of type/looks and personality. I always wanted a working dog and have always loved BC's but when I saw my first Aussie I fell in love! They're cheeky, clever, fun and sooo loyal

Not Sure If I Should Listen To My Vet's Advice...

To me, vaccinating for KC is like vaccinating for the common cold in humans...useless...too many strains. -

So good to hear Jed is communicating, things are looking better -
This is how I feel.. But then why does a vet say 6 months. its confusing!!!! Yep, every vet I've been to has been the same. They don't even want to go into a discussion about the pros and cons. Screw em, do what you think is right, it's your dog.

One Of My Worst Nightmares Has Happened.
Dame Aussie replied to baifra's topic in General Dog Discussion
So sorry Baifra, how horrible :D I know it won't make a difference but please don't feel responsible, it was just a horrible accident. Snail pellets are sooo nasty, we dont have them anywhere on the property, inside/outside/locked up as this is my worst fear :p -

This. Unless one is a vegetarian, you don't really have a leg to stand upon. -
Welcome to DOL!! Re your questions....a mate would be great for your dog but it won't stop him chewing Do you leave him with toys when he's on his own? Kongs and other treat toys can be great and will keep him occupied. Do you have time to walk him every day? That would tire him out a bit more and possibly help too! Good luck....and post some pics
