Photos.Not.Cooperating But trust me when I say my dogs are both dorks

Yep, as said above, I would just get him a nice big kennel and run a shade sail from it to the house. ETA: Aldi normally have trampoline beds for about $25, brilliant!

What Is The Most Popular Colour In Your Breed?
Dame Aussie replied to Esky the husky's topic in General Dog Discussion
Most people seem to favour blue merle in Aussies, I can't choose one colour, I love them all As for Anatolians, they can come in any colour but the most common (unsure if popularity comes into it) is sesame/fawn. -
I would also leave pup outside, we kept Lili inside for too long in hindsight and she would've much preferred to be outside I think. As long as your yard is secure I don't see an issue, if not though, all you can really do inside is put down newspaper/puppy pads and hope pup uses them.

Yes, Lili is a DINOS, she doesn't mind other dogs but is not normally interested in meeting them, I also can't let unknown people pat her when she is on lead, she has never snapped and I don't think she would but I won't take the chance, and anyway, her comfort is more inportant than someone wanting to pet her. Mosley however loves everyone and everything so he is allowed to be petted and meet other dogs.

Dork. They're so funny, we woke up the other night to an almighty bang, just Mosley falling off the bed
-
Vets will normally say around 6 months, but your breeder may want you to wait longer, I would speak to them and see what they recommend, I would probably wait till about a year old, but that's just me and it does depend on the breed. Prices can range greatly, where I used to work though a female dog would set you back about $250-300 depending on size, males were about $150-250. I have seen much dearer, and a bit cheaper though so it does vary a lot. Also, depending on whether or not you have bloods taken and fluids administered the cost can go up.

I think that's a good decision wantsapuppy, especially with your chosen breed
-
Why surprised? Our adult dogs have always been fed twice a day.
-
This is what I do also. They usually get a bone/treat once a day also.
-
Mosley likes to chew. Everything  When he was a pup it was out of control but he is much better now. I agree with giving them things they are allowed to chew, boxes, toilet rolls, soft drink bottles, sticks etc. It may not stop all destruction but should help. He now just rips branches off the trees in our yard and eats them during the day, meh, I don't mind if it keeps him away from the house! Can you up the amount of walks she does get while she's being lead trained? This might stop her from being as frustrated.

I wouldn't get two baby puppies at once, however my two are only about 5 months apart in age and we have no issues. My Mums' Chis are also brother and sister from the same litter and they are best mates, always have been, no issues there either, so I dont think it's a blanket rule. I think it depends on the dogs and the owner, I can say for sure that I wouldn't get two Lab pups, or any other high energy breed together as babies, that would be a nightmare

That is awesome! I love advent calendars!!

Here is Mosley in his professional photo shoot at Puppy Pre School, I think about 14 weeks? And then as of a few months ago at age 3...he's grown I'll find Lili's puppy pics later They're freakin adorable

Lili is very vocal too. Mosley doesn't make a sound but she sounds like a little rabid monster!

Ooooh I have some, but on my home computer, will post them tonight :D Love everyone's pics!!

Why Are So Many Cats And Dogs Being Pts In Pounds?
Dame Aussie replied to Leema's topic in General Dog Discussion
Great post Nic. Where I was working, we did not have those rates of desexing either, far from it, and about 90% of the cats that came in were wild, so I agree that different areas can have a much different situation. -
When Lili does it she mounts Mosley's head

It is a huge issue at the moment, one only has to do a pet friendly search on all of Victoria on realestate.com and come up with less than 20 properties, to see that. I agree that landlords should not be able to discriminate against children or pets, and also agree that the state of a lot of the houses these landlords dont want pets in is substandard at best, I know, I've lived in them. A lot of people surrendering their pets are having to do so because of this and it would be a shame to just say that unless you own your home you cannot have a pet. On another note, regarding the blog that was posted earlier, I can totally understand that as when I was working in the industry there were certain people who would really hound the staff about things that were out of their control, euth rates, whether or not dogs passed assessments etc. Do people really think the staff wouldn't change things if they weren't being dictated to by management? So, yes, maybe customer service isn't the best in these places, but keep in mind that they have to deal with the dregs of society on a daily basis, and after a while, as with any job like this, patience gets worn down, especially when it involves serial pests, and by that I do not mean people involved in legitimate rescue. I mean crazies who say they are. -
Both my dogs are desexed and they both still hump each other during play sometimes. I really don't see the big deal to be completely honest . I would NEVER let my dog hump another dog, even a friends/families dog, as it is just rude, but if my two are playing and one of them has a bit of a hump, jeez, if I worried about things like that I wouldn't get through the day. On the subject of toys, my Mum's little 16 year old Chi, Chip, has a turtle toy that he throws around and humps, hilarious. He's also desexed so I really don't think that has much to do with it.

Very true megan, so many people lie as they know they're doing the wrong thing.
