  1. Great thread! I only have a basic first aid kit but will be adding to it from here
  2. quote name='oakway' timestamp='1350609394' post='5991306'] I hope the dog bites......hard.
  3. I only just saw the updates don, poor lucy, and poor you! Glad she's looking better :) Fingers crossed you have her home today :)
  4. Yes it sounds a little weird Sam, you would think you would have noticed something before this.
  5. Poor wee man Hope it's nothing too serious, let us know how you go.
  6. Yeah, our old boys' seizures only ever went for about a minute or two, and then he was just exhausted
  7. I think they take the bloods to rule things out rather than look for something IYKWIM, as epilepsy is usually suspected when everything else is ruled out. Our old boy (RIP) had a couple of seizures but only 2 or 3 and they were spaced out over a few years so the vet said the same as they did to you, to just keep a record. I hope they find out what it is and Tag is ok.
  8. Oooh thanks megan!:) Multiple different wubbas  and squeaky balls coming my way :D
  9. Has she been to the vet yet since it first happened? At first the symptoms sound like parvo which is a worry, but parvo doesn't come and go. Maybe she is sensitive as you said to fatty things, pancreatitis? I'm not sure but if you take in a sample they should be able to find out :) Good luck with it, poor pumpkin ETA: just saw SL's post. Let us know how you go at the vets don.
  10. So are people like me who just adopted a rescue "Bull Breed" a fool? Such narrow minded views, especially on a dog lovers forum give me the irrits. Oh didn't you know mantis, you're just meant to let the bull breed rescues die.
  11. Great post. As someone who has worked in a shelter, you're totally correct. The workers have no say about anything.
  12. Is there another room that you could keep the cat in, and then have a run attached to a window in that room? Then the sunroom would be free for the hounds....
  13. Run free Xin, sorry for your loss MalteseLuna
  14. 12 weeks?! OMG he's so big I thought he was about 16 weeks!
  15. Excellent post Aidan. I'm also unsure as to what you mean Skye GSD?
  16. Me too, I keep coming in here to see if there are more pics
  17. This. I have never heard iof anyone having issues with a Cav....ever I always recommend them as agreeable, quiet companions which will fit in almost anywhere.
  18. Not to mention the fact they're calling dogs that weigh around 40kg pitbulls....ridiculous. Oh sorry theyre the Pitbull x Mastiffs that seem to be so common....
  19. Yes, and there would be so many other people in this situation also.
  20. Does he have a website ? I'd be interest in reading about it.
