How Old Until Pups Can Eat Chicken Wings?
Dame Aussie replied to joey13's topic in General Dog Discussion
A ferocious baby cav  ....ADORABLE -
My two will sleep through most of the time. Mosley will ask to go out occasionally but I suspect it's to chase cats and possums rather than actually needing the toilet *rolly eyes* Other than that unless they have a funny tummy they'll sleep through from about 10.30 to 6.30. My two are 7yo and almost 7.

I don't mind people asking about my dogs, I'm a proud Mum after all  My Anatolian x Maremma gets a lot of comments and attention due to his size and the fact people don't know what he is, they all want to pat him and guess the breed, thankfully he loves it  I'll often complement other people's dogs. The only think that gets to me is kids running over as my Aussie can get a bit freaked and it's just not good practice anyway!

How Old Until Pups Can Eat Chicken Wings?

When we first picked up our Aussie as a baby her breeder sent her home with a big chicken thigh piece and told me big cuts were better as they can't just gulp it down. I worried at first but she knew what to do! -

I know it seems safer to go small but chicken necks are the kind of thing she'll try to swallow whole. If you give her half a frame there's no possible way she can eat it without having to chew first :) -
Those pics are hilarious  she's gorgeous

I'd try with a bigger piece, a thigh or half a frame that she will have to chew -
Yeah don't make it negative, just redirecting is better when they're that young I think.
-
I would just distract her with a toy or something, just redirect her playing to something acceptable :)
-
Agree with blinkblink, probably just exploration and play, but if you want to stop it start now.

I don't normally take ours to markets because Lili doesn't like big crowds but I have no problem with dogs at markets. Every market I go to regularly has dogs everywhere and I've never seen any issues. With a rule like this all they're going to do is reduce their patronage

It's great to hear about all the good doggies coming home when called! -
Little bitch! I'm thinking "More issues than Vogue" for Lili and "I'm why we can't have nice things" for Mo
-
Omg I love them. I'll go in on postage let me choose some :)

We had tradies and a gate was left open, our bad, we thought it had all been closed up, I let the dogs out and when I went to get them they were gone. I called them and they came back all out of breath from running the streets the only other time Lili squeezed through a tiny gap in the side fence and gate, think something must have scared her as there was hair stuck on the gap it was really tiny and not a gap a dog would normally see as an option! She then sat on the front doorstep till we got home. It's awfully scary, I'm glad fluffybutt was brought home quickly. -

Mo loves having the top of his head scratched and Lili is quite partial to butt/back leg scritches :) -
She's so cute!
