Are Strawberries Okay For Dog?

We feed them every now and then, the dogs love them. I just take off the green top :) -
Ideas For A Cheaper Dry Dog Food
Dame Aussie replied to RachelleBuck's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
We feed raw now, but in the past our dogs have had Supercoat, Purina, Pedigree dry and the dry food from Aldi. They scoffed every single one and looked great. I might just be lucky but my dogs aren't fussy at all. -
My 21kg Aussie plays like a demon with her 49kg Anatolian mate, she gives as good as she gets  She's also a complete b*tch at times, very string willed, very intelligent, very active but she does have an off switch.

Ours ignore the tree, Mosley ocassionally nuzzles it but that's it. We don't leave presents under though, they would be destroyed/ingested.

I don't have any advice but just wanted to say good luck with your search. I much prefer the old style GSDs too :)

People always say they've been told things they haven't.

Possibly, but I still wouldn't have her in water until the wound is healed. What breed is she?

I don't think so, Gribbles does it, they send you out a kit and you take a swab and send it back. I just avoid anything with any of the problem drugs altogether.

And the dogs they're advocating are the poor leftover Amstaffy types from Blacktown Pound (where many rescues will have already assessed them). Yep, sure, everyone should get a 30kg Amstaff for their random Christmas present. Maybe I should give one to my sister, surely it will get on ok with her Iggy and three cats and all the visiting foster kids! I have so much sympathy for these dogs but more for the unsuspecting adopters who believe the sales pitch! Apparently you should give two to your sister, as they say make it a baby boy and girl! So, please everyone go and pick two random dogs from the pound and hope they get along with not only the existing family members, but each other too Oh and they will live for 20 years.....

Yes! Always 3am! What is with that? I get woken up by that oh so familiar sound and yep, there it is, that bit of cartilage
-
We also have the occasional 3am bone spew. Dogs are such efficient creatures..."Ooh this doesn't sit well in my tummy......there we go, all good"
-
Yeah just sounds like a "hungry chuck" as we call it in our household  I would just keep an eye on them but if they seem happy and bright I wouldn't worry too much :)

There are some Pulis that go to the beach we use :) Last time we were down there we met a Pug, a Malamute puppy and a Kelpie. -

Our little Chi brother and sister (RIP) broke up and rolled in some rotten duck eggs we hadn't found in the yard (our duck used to hide her eggs)....the smell Like nothing I have ever smelt before or will smell again, I'm sure. It took us days to totally get it out of them, especially the boy, we were rubbing their coats with vanilla essence just so we could be around them, the mingers

Hugs Chicken, it's so hard to lose them

Does anyone have a link/source to a good heartworm map or rundown of which areas are a danger? Or is it simply to do with temp? I'd love to stop treating for it but it has always just been drummed into me.

 so true

This is what I do. I once asked the vet about getting the same amount of ingredient for intestinal worms that they used to get when I wormed them every 3 months. She said that the wormer kills any worms present & is not a preventative. Still not convinced but because one of my dogs is a Border Collie & can't have certain heartworm preventives which is why I switched to the monthly chew. I also feed a raw diet & on some Yahoo chat groups they don't worm or heartworm at all. I'm not prepared to take the chance. Yes, mines an Aussie and I can't give ivermectin so it limits the medications we can use, that's why we use the sentinel which does both.

I literally do not think I could touch my dog if it had rolled in human poo, seriously!! I actually really don't know what I would do

Yup. :

Ours get heartworm each month and the product we use also does intestinal worms. I have considered changing to a heartworm tablet and worming less frequently, still researching/deciding.
