That is true. From my experience at a shelter, the general public see purebred dogs as being out of their league, unaccessible. That's why they go to a pet shop or BYB.

Yeah I have to agree. It's not the best way to go about it, where the puppies are advertised is irrelevant. It's how they're bred that's the issue.

I think if you are really consistent with telling him No and removing him from the situation he should hopefully get the message. If not maybe get some advice from a trainer? Has he done any training yet?

I agree with this. She knew not to let the cat in your yard and obviously didn't care enough to try. If it meant the possibility of my dog being in trouble, I wouldn't even tell her.

That's not at all fair to your cat, whether you think she is scared or not, you cannot let this go on. He's drawing blood! If you can't teach the puppy to be gentle with the cat then I would be seperating them altogether. What does he do when you tell him no?

I am stunned that they seem to think secure bins are sufficient. A shredder is not a big expense for an organisation like this. Think they need to read up on privacy laws!

Stan ate every cherry tomato in my vegie patch the first year I got him and he was fine. There were random tomato plants popping up all over the back yard, just mowed over them though...I know where they'd been. :laugh: ahh Stan

+1 Nothing wrong with a good old phone number on a tag, 99% of people can use it, as opposed to limiting the amount of people who can contact you, or at least making them go back home to plug details into their computer. Yeah I agree. When I was working at a pound soooo many people STILL didn't even know about microchips Others just assumed that a dog without a collar and tag was a stray and had been dumped, so just kept the dog. However, if the dog had a tag they would automatically call the owners. The best way to get your dog back is to have an easy to read, simple tag with your phone number.

I just get so scared they might fall off or get hung over the side etc. It just freaks me out Whenever I see one I get tense :laugh: Yeah, I know what you're saying- I always see dogs without any restraint- makes me so nervous that I won't be behind them (I change lanes instead) the dogs are walking all over the tray side to side and hanging over the back :/ Yes! I think a cage is the best option, it would be for me anyway :laugh:
