The dog isn't in your care? It's owned by someone else, and currently in a different persons house. You have no ties to the dog legally. Yes. Why do you keep saying the dog is in your care when you have told us the dog is with someone 5 minutes away from you?!

She is that's why is this hard to understand that Lucky is still with the rescue being fostered literally 5 minutes from our home. We see her we walk her we take her to the beach. Why is that hard for some to figure out? If she is with another rescue, she is not with you. I have a friend down the road who I see all the time, she doesn't live with me....

Glad you offered hope did she get it through a rescue or the pound? One thing I find interesting is that we are all on PR butt (not defending them at all) but pounds generally let you walk in and out with a dog with very little questioning and very little temp testing should pounds be held to a high standard or not allowed to adopt out dogs? The pound I worked at did quite a lot of questioning of new adopters, refused quite a few while I was there. The temp testing there was also very strict.

Same! Mosley picks them and any that fall he also picks up and carries them away to be eaten delicately in private. We call them his "precious" as that's the way he is with them :laugh:

On the other side of the coin, I hate it when vets pressure me to desex at a really young age. But vets are just people who are going to have differing beliefs. I guess it's just about finding a vet who shares your ethics and opinions on dogs. Easier said than done of course!

This is the problem. Breeding your dogs in a BYB setting isn't illegal, so a lot of the general public think that we're all just crazy dog nutters because, what's wrong with having puppies? Especially if their vet doesn't have a problem with it....

You did just pass judgment on them without even knowing them. Also is it now required to kennel all dogs? So any group that uses foster homes is bad and irresponsible if they dont have them live in kennels? How did I pass judgement? I said nothing about them needing kennels. You were the one who said you were going to keep the dogs inside your home and this person said that is what they do as well. I do not see how I have stated an untruth or passed judgement on any of these things? I merely said that it appeared to me that the two of you were "networking" and I believed the dog may have gone there. If she didn't, then surely you could have just corrected me? I saw nothing judgemental about your post, all you said was you believed they were networking, as it appears they are.

Where in Vic don't you need a permit for 3 dogs out of interest? I want to move there! :laugh: Every council I know of requires one.
