  1. Sounds like the pads might be the way to go then. --Lhok
  2. Smashtank have you had a look at one of those petloos? --Lhok
  3. Naww how adorable Melina. Well I had a chuckle this morning at around 4am while I was outside freezing and waiting for Raiden to decided if he wanted to go to the toilet. Raiden noticed my shadow and started to growl and bark at it (and man he has a big bark for such a little guy). I was half asleep at the time and couldn't work out what it was so I started to walk towards it and he barged in between me and the shadow all the while growling. Once I worked out what it was I walked right up to it and of course he came with me and he soon worked out that it wasn't a threat and went to the toilet so then I praised him for both toileting and walking up to the scary shadow. --Lhok
  4. No I don't have any adult dogs, Miss passed away just before we got Raiden. I also think it's got something to do with the fact I have no idea about puppies, I got Miss at 18months old she was housetrained and had basic obedience too so with Raiden not only is everything new it's also confusing for both me and him, Hence why I think I am expecting too much from him. Cassie about a name for your guy Mr Smooshyface is still available :p --Lhok
  5. Yeah he knows how to sit now and he will also come when called when the stars and the planets are aligned or I have a piece of steak in my hands :p he also is a good loose lead walker. I just don't know I think I am expecting too much from the poor little guy. --Lhok
  6. It's been just over a week and it feels like Raiden has been here a lot longer. He just blends into the household so well. We also had a huge breakthrough two whole days without weeing in his crate :D only for me to stuff it up by sleeping in and he couldn't hold on any longer. I'm having a little worry about bonding as it feels like it isn't strong especially when he gives me an akita stare and runs away when asked to come along. Sorry I haven't been on much and I've yet to catch up on the news. --Lhok
  7. I took Raiden to the vets after 3 days not because he was sick but to introduce him to the vet clinic and the staff. We will also be dropping in from time to time to do some waiting room training so I can get him use to the clinic :) --Lhok
  8. We cable tied our cables up and shoved them down a flexible plastic pipe. I forgot to mention the latter part sorry --Lhok
  9. Cable ties are your friend :) We had the same issue when puppy proofing our house. --Lhok
  10. Gosh what a little star Nitro is. I thought I was going well with getting Raiden to come when called sometimes.. We will have to lift our game a little.. Good work Nitro and Kavik. --Lhok

  14. First night was good, he howled a little but then settled down well. He follows my daughter everywhere and also he has almost learnt his name to come when called :D Took some photos this morning but I don't have my camera cable with me. --Lhok
  15. Raiden is home and he is adorable :D I got a big bear hug when I was in the pet store buying his food. He is currently whinging from his crate while snuggling up to his teddy. Oh wow he can howl hmm looks like I will be getting little sleep tonight.. Oh well he is too adorable to be mad at him. I'll post photos soon :) --Lhok

  19. One month on and it's still hard Miss I miss rubbing those velvet ears of yours and playing games of chasey round the yard. I gave some of your old stuff to a no kill animal shelter, I thought it was the right thing to do to help those that help animals that are in a similar place to where I met you. I also have a little boy Akita puppy coming home in two days time, you would have loved playing with him you loved playing with puppies. I hope you are running free up there, just remember no one likes having dead seagull rubbed on their pants no matter how happy you are with the smell. Miss you --Lhok
  20. Oh so exciting Cassie! only 2 more sleeps for me.. Not that I am counting. --Lhok

  23. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I know when Raiden is coming! He is super adorable Moosepup! Also I have nicknamed your pup Mr Smooshyface Cassie cause how could you not want to smoosh it. --Lhok
  24. I would have thought it would have been a good idea to turn up and promote pedigree dogs regardless of who is there? If we don't get out and be noisy then we can't whinge that more people don't know about pedigree dogs. --Lhok
