  1. Thanks for all the replies guys ;) She is such an angel, we adore her, she slept like a little baby last night, only woke up at 4H30 and did not even wee in her crate! Ringo tried to initiate play a couple of times but I think she is a little overwhelmed at the moment, she just freezed and waited till he ran off and then tried to bite his tale.... LOTS more photos comming soon!
  2. Thanks you guys.... I just want to hug her all the time. We bought her with Limited Reg and will desex her when she is old enough. Edit: Luv Lottie... that is funny and se looks so comfortable......
  3. Let me show you what JRT's love..... it's a ball! I am one mean JRT.... So tired.... after a long day, she did not even cry when I put her in her crate, just whent to sleep. I would not leave her alone with him for a while but he really surprised me, I did not think he wil be so gentle with her.... I am one happy lady tonight.
  4. Our new puppy is here and..... everything is just perfect.... Ringo is really good with her!! Her name is (Winterbourne Sweet) Nandi..... it means “sweet thing” in Zulu.... I love this.... she has been sitting like this a couple of times today.... After about 7 hours of just showing her to him..... he did not look happy... Who are you????? Ok.... you can chew my tale.....
  5. She is here, she is here.... Not the one that I wanted (my daughter and husband were ganging up on me ) but I love her already.... see is the sweetest little girl. Her name is Nandi..... it means “sweet thing” in Zulu....
  6. He is beautiful Sophieandgracie Clastic... we are also getting up early tomorrow morning to pick up our little JRT girl.... I don't have a photo of our puppy but here is Ringo eyeing her toys in her crate..... ;)
  7. I do!!! My boss doesn't mind, there are a lot of dogs anyway..... Dog grooming salon.
  8. Wow... they are sharp... and good... and beautiful.....
  9. Elbie is beautiful..... , I like his little bed.
  10. Ravyk, love the photo of the pigeons. My mum in law gave me a (nikon) 50mm 1.4 lens, but I have been so busy working I never used it, now that I saw all these beautiful photos I want to take it out and practice.
  11. Maybe I will come with our new baby..... we are getting her next week.
  12. Thanks SmoothieGirl, he is my baby.... :D :p Beautiful photos everyone...
  13. They sound like very clever dogs..... That might work, I will look into it, thanks.....
  14. You are all still so young!!! I can’t believe it.... now I feel really old. Me and Ringo fell asleep on the couch last night and my daughter took a photo, I am a little shy so I “camouflaged” myself....... ;)
  15. Huski, we try to be consistent...... but I must admit, because we have two sets of words for everything the kids sometimes forget to use the eng word, but I have seen Ringo respond correctly to the afr and eng words. M-J, that’s what I was wondering as I would love to do obedience trials in the future. Masons mum, don’t you just love how the two languages are mixed... you should hear my kids, never mind the dog. Seita..... people stare at me all the time, even when I speak eng because of my strong accent.... I would love to be able to call my dog and sound just like all the other people in the park. Thanks for the help everyone. :D
  16. Hi, this might sound stupid...... but I have been wondering about this for some time. I am getting a new puppy in 2 weeks and will be taking her to puppy preschool and basic obedient training (when she is a little older). Now the problem, at our house we only speak Afrikaans.... but we will keep all her training commands in eng, even when we are at home and not at training school. Will the fact that we speak Afrikaans at home but all her commands are in eng make it more difficult for her to learn if we decide to do more advance obedience training? We have an almost 3 year old Jack Russell, (we adopted him from the RSPCA when he was a year old) at the beginning we did speak eng to him but now.... its just more natural for us to speak Afrikaans, we never use to speak eng before we came to Australia. We did his basic obedience training and he seemed to be good at it.... he is very obedient, we only have to tell him something once and he listens. Hope this is not a really stupid question?? Edit: Spelling....
  17. Beautiful story, thanks for sharing it with us....
  18. Nicolatu, that's just how I feel.... the only reason I say we are not 100% sure is because the puppy and the name is my daughters choice (or so she thinks :D ) and she has not seen the puppies yet.
  19. Hi everyone, I am waiting for a puppy too...... a Jack Russell Terrier. I went to the breeder Wednesday and the lady said I can choose my puppy first, aahhhh but they were all so beautiful, :D (almost 7 weeks)...... there was one little girl with the best personality (I just loved her) the breeder explained to me that she is not the best example of a JRT because her legs were a little to long and her body a little to short, but she loves her personality too. We are not 100% sure that she will be 'the one' but she is the only one I can remember.... I am buying her on limited registration and will be desexing her as soon as she's old enough. We still have to wait 2 weeks....
  20. I know how you feel ILK, my kids are 14 and 15.... but my dog is always happy to see me, I'm sure if he could talk he will tell me what he did every minute of the day while I was gone.
  21. Thanks, thy are actually hand raised there mum was killed by farmers. Congrats on the canon thing! I love looking at everyone’s photos, they are all great!
