A Call For Help - Single Dad 5 Kids Injured Dog
Dodo replied to Steve's topic in General Dog Discussion
Bumping this as the poor dog needs help.Accidents happen and the poor children must be devastated. -
I think a corner too . I was wondering how you were coping with so much sewing.

Yackandandah and Beechworth in Vic not far from Albury are smaller towns that are dog friendly. Dogs are welcome outside the coffee shops and bakeries etc. A lovely lake to walk around in Beechworth but dogs have to be on a leash. There is a dog friendly coffee shop in Wodonga outer area. Not sure about others in Albury Wodonga. Lake Hume has some lovely areas for dogs to run free .Lovely walks along the rail trails in the area.

If you have not been already I would suggest talking to the people in camera shop near the corner of Dean and Olive St Tibbiemax sure it is the Camera House. They are helpful and if you buy from them willl always help afterwards with any queries . I did the rounds and found them the most helpful and got good deals.

My OH says our mutt dogs are" pure dog and proud of it " ;) Somebody asked if our grey hairy boofer was a dalmation but I think that had more to do with the man's recreational substance flowing through his veins

Anna that is a beautiful piece of work. I posted mine today with an extra square for the auction quilt sorry it is late as 7th was the date due.... just gone ordinary mail. It will be lovely to see the finished quilt.

Thankyou Whippets mum ;) Sorry missed seeing this earlier. Thankyou Steve but I did contact Panda last year and there is a lovely lady who is knitting them beautifully. It is a very good pattern. I will copy the other patterns for her as she would like a change I am sure.

bertie I am sure yours is lovely .I think the true spirit intended for this quilt has shone through.A lot of people have stepped out of their comfort zone and made or cut a square as their symbol of love, respect and friendship for Jed. ;) I am trying to finish the Dol one to send with Jeds .

I am only half crafty bertie so anything I say on this thread is not gospel  The cat is stuck on with the papery stuff you buy and just iron on to bond the two fabrics . Then intend to over sew edge of cat to keep it secure .I have used it on shirts etc and sometimes I have not sewn over or used fabric paint on edge yet still attached. The most important thing is to pre wash fabric. Sometimes the non perfect craft works are the most charming . Edited because I can not type well either ;)

This one is easy The hardest part of this was the cutting! The cat cut out from quilting fabric ,used the iron on bonding stuff and will hand sew around the cat. An easy way to use any extra fabic is to out cut cereal bowl size circles and make non sew lavender bags. Spotlight has some specials at the moment.

I think this is a lovely idea.Non sewers have a variety of ways to personalise their square .Spotlight sell the product you can use to transfer photo images on to fabric with an iron.A variety of dog,cat and horse theme fabric available too to involve Jed's love of animals. When plan decided I would love to do a square . :)Edited to add iron :D

Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
Dodo replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
Fly free sweet dogs and wishing Jane and her surviving dogs a good recovery. Special thoughts to her family, friends and all who are helping in so many ways. Also thoughts to those reading this thread that have had their own lives touched with fire tragedies . -
Not a good photo but shows how friendly these Foxhounds were at a Welsh Show .The crowd were invited to meet the dogs.I grew up in an area where the hunts frequented ,the dogs were lovely. I was not a fan of hunts I have to say despite a fox killing our ducks. Off topic but I have a tiny little book about a naughty Foxhound which I loved as a child.

I found Dol a while before I joined but as new to computers was pretty hopeless at making it work at all!We have dial up plus a lousy phone line so my time on Dol is frustrating. I love the fact that if I went in the garden to investigate a noise at 3am and found a hippopotamus in the garden instead of a wombat I could come on here and somebody would know somebody who would arrange to catch him! :laugh:So many pound dogs are saved with the help of Dol which is what I love the most. I knew a few people on here and have since met a few more and have had cyber contact with some other lovely people on Dol.Without Dol we would not have our lovely Alfie thanks to fifi and Trisven for telling her I was not a complete looney! He is our United Nations ambassador as he breaks down all cultural barriers because he is such a goof ball. OT .You have the wrong impression of me fifi and Alfie thinks a few things could be changed to make his life better. .... One year ago I picked up the gorgeous boy!
