exactly. I wonder what they are thinking. They will miss out on lots of sales.

Oh, I am familiar with the body slam. It's something that comes and goes with my dog... but I've decided that she can't be revved up..... it's just too risky, and people can underestimate the damage a 30 kilo dog can do. Sometimes she goes into full zoomie mode when the grass is wet at the park, and you can do nothing but stand still and hope she dodges you. Sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn't...... just pot luck really.

I won't come through our gates until Heidi has all 4 paws on the ground. Her face it totally adorable and she looks like she could melt with the amount of love she is desperate to give. She does lots of wiggling, and doggy tap dancing, and tries really really hard not to jump. You can see the look all over her face. Complete happiness, and plenty of tail wacking into my leg. Hubby has a different kind of greeting with her. He will tend to wait until she is calm, and then crouch down and she will lick him all over his head and practically clean his ears out. It's like he is just one big lolly-pop (and then he expects a hello kiss from me)! It's lovely to see such delight on her face, just pure simple happiness. Lovely really.

Either. I bought a couple from Ikea once....... variety of shapes is important I have star shapes, moon shapes, puzzle shapes, etc. When filling one, I usually do the other few and freeze, then I have always got one available. If not, I just smear stuff in there and off she goes... lick, lick, lick. Another thing I use to do was keep all her stuffed toys that she had 'un-stuffed'. I would then put some kibble inside one, roll it up and then re-stuff the largest unstuffed toy with all the other unstuffed toys...... GET IT. I know what I'm trying to say. !!! Then she would happily un-stuff them all over again. (these are hollow stuffed toys,,, I've thrown all the stuffing out)...aarrhhhgg.. I don't know if I'm expaining myself properly..

A 2 litre juice or coke bottle with a bit of kibble that rattles around in it. Make sure there are no plastic rings left on the bottles, and no lid (so the kibble can come out at some point if rolled the right way). Paper towel rolls with a bit of peanut butter smeared in the middle of the roll. My dog loves those moulded silicone ice cube trays that I fill with an array of treats and freeze. Usually I put some wet dog food, cottage cheese, mashed sardines etc in them, and this takes her quite a while to get through. I've only given this though when we are home and have people over for dinner. While we eat, she gets this outside and it keeps her occupied instead of smearing her nose against the glass door and looking longingly at us all enjoying a b'cue.

When 'off topic' first appeared on my computer screen, I was giggling like an idiot. There was threads about people shaving legs, armpits, and brazilians etc... and I really really thought I'd entered into someones personal stuff. I had never been on any other forum as such before, therefore had no idea what "post counts, and off topic' meant. I didn't cook dinner at all that night. The family had to get take away.

Thank you. I don't use any rat poisons or anything around here, but we've had a couple of dead rats in our yard/garage lately. Someone is obviously having a rat invasion, and I immediately thought of the colour of rat poison when I saw the colour of it.

The local pet suppliers gave me a charcoal biscuit to try and today I noticed an extremely green but normal poo. Is this normal? I am presuming it is the biscuit. My dog ate it, not me.

Wow, You sound like one very happy Odour-goer. Did you dilute it?

Got an email from Odour Go today. This is what it said: Just to let you know that we have recently found out that our website/email enquiry link has been down and our web hoster has been working on the issue. Hopefully up and running ok now. We apologise to all those on Dogzonline who have been having trouble getting through. Regards, Grahame Sweeney OdourGo

I'm thrilled that everyone is finally getting some communication. You will all be able to give your opinions on the scents before too long. I would say that the talc would be one of my favourites. Also like the 'natural' scent, as well as the lavender. Apple is nice and fresh, but because I've had a 5 litre bottle of it, I'm liking the others at the moment for a change of scent.

He gets two small meals each day. How much are you feeding him. I know I need to feed my dog a bit more for dinner when it gets cooler. She just seems to need more in winter, or she gets hungry.

Great news.

I would think that the lounge cover would slip off pretty easily, unless you have a really tiny dog. Its really necessary to have some 'weight' in the cover to hold it in place better, like a heavy comforter or something. Maybe you could attach the Barka Parka cover onto a doona cover somehow (with buttons or something) ..... I'm definitely not a sewing girl, so someone else might have some other idea's on how to get covers to stay on.

You will find some more information on the other thread. here I am excited too, for everyone who eventually gets this product. You will love it, and I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

ok, I've done a bit of research on the internet and found this place also, which, if you click on the "distributors" link, you will get a list of suppliers hopefully. There seems to be quite a few there, but lots of horticulture information ???????,......... worth a go to call one of them though. Given it is listed on their website, I guess they would sell it. The product is made from Ozona, so is known at that on the bottle, rather than Odour-go. (hope all that makes some sense). Here is the link to that website I've mentioned. here

I have a Barka Parka bed for Heidi. No hair can ever penetrate the material that it is made of. Any hair or dirt just falls on top of the bed and I shake off. This also leaves no dog odour on her bed, as it is the hair and dirt that penetrates furniture that leaves a smell. I have looked at the couch covers recently. The company is very good to deal with, and from memory the owner will happily make anything of any size that you want. I had lengthy conversations on the phone with them at some point trying to choose colours for Heidi's bed. Also wanted to add how quickly this material dries. Very easy to wash, not at all bulky. It is made of twill. There is some sort of 7 way stitching style that crosses each way, ?? therefore preventing any dirt particles to enter. It's the same stuff that they make army clothes out of (I think).

I had our vet come out to our house and have my dog, Jessie, put to sleep. The decision to do so was excruciating, and I spent days crying beforehand, guilty that I had to make that phone call. The receptionist was so so nice to me, and helped me heaps. I just couldn't get past the fact that I had to 'choose' the time and day that my dog would die. She was 13, and had a great life and was such a wonderful part of our family. That morning when I gave her breaky was also tough... as I knew tomorrow she wouldn't be here. Hubby took the day off work, and we both stayed with Jessie when the vet gave the needle on our lounge room floor. It was so peaceful, I was shocked. We sobbed our hearts out, and told her how much we loved her. We thanked her over and over for being in our lives. Our vet was so wonderful with us and her, I will always remember his manner and I am will forever be grateful that she passed over in such a peaceful environment and with such peace.

Sure, will PM you the number. Hopefully you can get a response of some sort. Let us know.

Disappointing for those of you waiting for a reply. All I can say is that I feel your frustration. Very annoying when you are waiting. You won't be disappointed in the product though, and the wait will be worth it. I don't know of any other source to get it from. There is a phone number on the back of my brochure thing. I just discovered it then, but won't call now (too late). Will give them a call on Monday or Tuesday and see why the long wait for replies. As Monday is a public holiday, it may well have to wait a bit longer. My delivery didn't take long at all. Only about 2 days from memory.

Isn't it illegal to sell live animals at markets? I'm not sure, how do I find out? Anyone know?

OMG, I would never have left Heidi in the house unsupervised at that age..... just way to much mischief, plus I would have worried myself silly about anything I may have not done before leaving....eg: closing toilet door (she was once a toilet drinker, and sometimes I bleach toilet before I leave the house) It hasn't happened here, but some dogs have been known to eat through electrical cords, and that would be disastrous. As for the dog door, Heidi is fairly large, and the door for her is not huge. My 10yr old daughter can fit through it, but I'm not sure about myself (will have to make that my weekly challenge). And I do remember somebody mentioning to me that an intruder is less likely to venture through a big doggy door because of the fear of what could possibly be on the other side.

Poor animals. Why are some humans so damn idiotic! Makes me so mad. I went to fruit markets last weekend and couldn't walk any further because I heard puppies barking in small cages. What exactly do they think they call themselves. Glad you reported them. Thank you.
