  1. I did it with my old dog for years with a lazer pointer and he had no problems with other lights, couldn't figure out how I could harness that though so just used it as him doing exercise while I drank a beer. But I have seen on some tv shows that it can turn into something horrible so I won't risk doing it again.
  2. HI, I've been reading this forum for a while now and love it especially this training section. I love the 'triangle of temptation'(so detailed) just wish there would be more pinned up there from gundog retrieving to flyball, sledding, anything just love the learning of people's experience. So forgive me in advance as I will be asking alot of questions when I don't understand fully the training technique, basically I will try to learn what you know. I've read a few books on various types of training for dogs and just would like to put a subject up there from time to time to get some real world experience on what I've read and with your experience is it good advice or is there better techniques out there. I have two gundog type dogs a mix of a few gundog breeds that I got off a farmer mate as pups, never hunted with them and don't intend too any time soon just got them for pets but want to keep their brains active. Male is about 1yr old and female 8 months. Trained my old Heeler x Kelpie as much as I could in various activities and could do mostly anything from hunting, frisbee, herding to anything bar the down position (could never figure that out but that was before the internet and Amazon was available to me so I realise it was pretty amateur so looking to really have some training fun with the new mutts. I will be a leach on your brain sucking out as much info as possible :p sorry
