  1. Run free big boofer - gone too soon Watch over those who love you
  2. Glad to see you found the blockage - sneaky dog. Hope all goes smoothly now - once you have a new storage spot for the blamkets :D
  3. Hope she poos out the furry ball soon ;) Earl would have to be one of the experts on eating things he shouldn't - he has had several surgeries to remove river stones - one they pushed all the way out his butt - the others they removed the normal way - through the ever increasing scar on his stomach. The last time he showed all the classic signs we were absolutely gobsmacked as the riverstones had actually been fenced off! Turned out that he had twisted his bowel and trapped a blood vessel - he had to have 80cm of bowel removed as it had died - they operated on the Monday - the big doofus was home with us on the wednesday - the only issue being that he couldn't get in his crate with the cone of shame on. Our yard is pretty bare as he has a tendency to eat what he shouldn't - touch wood - all has been good for a while but we had some pretty scary monents there with him.
  4. Mine have access to the yard - which includes a large paved under shade area and a huge kennel when we are out - and they come inside with us at night into the lounge area which has access to the back yard. I don't trust Earl not to chew stuff he shouldn't and there is a lot to get into in our lounge. They are crated at night in our room.
  5. And this is why we book Delta dog safe for our school every year.
  6. Our Staffy x was Clapton after being given 2 choices by OH - Eric or CLapton - no prozes for guessing who he was named after, our ACD X was JEss after the bitch in Footrot Flats, our rescue kelpie x came named Bonnie, the kids named the current kelpie Rosie - no real reason and the hound is named Earl - from My name is Earl - which is his pedigree name - which we picked as we wanted something bluesy for a hound
  7. I third the suggestion for Mark and I would add to contact him ASAP - he has online booking
  8. Earl gets droolymonster, snotface, hurl, hurlus, big dog, stinky dog Rosie gets b!tchface, pointynose, batears, skinny dog They both get YOUR DOG when they are misbehaving
  9. I drove behind someone who's dog was hanging out of the back window - obviously unrestrained as it was going back and forth across the back seat - I was worried it was going to fall out. Mine go in the back area of the the Kluger with double ended leashes clipped to anchor points.
  10. Definitely dog pen with padlock - but i would also get a behaviourist in and from there make the decision - either manage the behaviour in a way that minimises risk - or PTS
  11. Absolutely would recommend Mark - didn't mention him as i didn't even think of him - I read it as the OP was looking for ongoing training. Good that you have booked to see him though - I know he does group socialization classes or he may have recommendations. ETA -Mark has online booking for a consultation now too on his website
  12. Para districts are good -they meet on Sunday mornings and aren't too far away. Their web site

  19. I mix Advance tinned chicken and rice - just a small bit - with my dogs kibble.
  20. OK - here goes 1) Finnish Lapphund - next dog for me 2) Aussie Shepherd - especially the blue merle 3) Greyhound - so sleek looking 4) Malamute - particularly -the wooly coated (like Esky) 5) Siberian Husky
  21. We bought one of these for our Bloodhound - it was $80.00 There is one here Ebay link for step OH glued a piece of carpet on it and we store it in the back of the Kluger in its original box - it is quite big and Earl uses it to get in and out of the back without a problem - the legs fold under
  22. Our hound lies on the concrete or out on the fake turf - the kelpie just dunks herself in the clam shell regularly in between her laps of the yard silly creatures
  23. poor you and Pele having to put up with that - fingers crossed that karma bites them hard -unfortunately any suggestions I might have are probably illegal ;)
