No worries Monah - happy to - and he is so different from any of the other dogs we have had - I am sure there will be many new experiences to share So far we have had to Earlproof the house - it looks cleaner than it ever has *L* and remove the fluff from the chewed cushions in the back yard as he kept bringing it in piece by piece :D Our old girl sits on the couch and barks when he goes near her - he now barks back :D Rosie and Earl are starting to play together - they are so different - she is so quick and he is so lumbering -
My OH has always liked the look of bloodhounds so I did some research on Dogz and on the net and contacted some breeders - there aren't many in Australia. I also looked for people who had owned bloodhounds and researched their general temperament and how they interacted with children OUr breeder was very patient and gave us lots of information - the personality and temperament seemed to mesh well with our lifestyle so we went ahead with puppy enquiries ..................................and here he is.

I can't wait to introduce him to everyone - his feet are huge - my OH's comment when we picked him up "My god - we've got a monster" He makes our kelpie girl look so dainty next to him - and she runs rings around him - it is so funny to watch -
As someone who has just bought my first ever pedigree pup - I spoke at length with the breeder about our home situation - other dogs - kids - yard area etc. and she suggested a male as we have 2 females and she picked out a "laid back smoochy" pup for us - I didn't get a chance to see the pups so left it all in her hands

He is gorgeous - he has only been here since yesterday so he is still settling in - he is very laid back compared to our 18 month old kelpie girl - but she is a really high energy dog - she keeps poking him and play bowing to get him to play and he looks at her like "what...." *L*. We have never had a hound before - we have had staffy x and cattle dog x and kelpies - so a real change for us. Looking forward to the learning curve he is going to take us on

"....now that I am back from my brief sojourn in the world of high adventure I must prepare myself to return to my undercover role, collecting high level reconnaisance for my country...................Miss Furrypenny ......my back requires your attention.......... ...............Ah, a dry martini, a Saville Row suit ....and the Pink Poodle stage show.....this life is so demanding .....*sigh* ...........Oh no, I am in the clutches of the evil villian Paws .....and my bodyguard has been seduced by the evil wiles of the Pink Poodle girls, I fear this is the end..........Oh the shame, to be devoured in this common form, not even a spoonful of caviar to allow me to perish in dignity............. ....Well done my faithful bodyguard, your determination to escape the clutches of those evil sirens has saved our fur ..now, be still and we shall masquerade as a Christmas gift for Baron Von Rottweiler........"

OUr kelpie bounces off the fence trying to get the possums - don't know what she hopes to achieve - shake the fence till they fall out? ;) But when we had a possum in the wall of the bedroom she slept through the whole hissing and scratching it did - in fact I yelled at her thinking she was making the noise She wouldn't know what to do with one if she got it

He is so cute - and love the name I tried all of the Twilight names but OH just wouldn't have it *sigh* no taste at all ETA - just don't show him in full sunlight - if he sparkles like his namesake he'll dazzle the judges -
