  1. Mine only come in with me on the weekend when there are no kids around - and even then they are not even really supposed to be on the school grounds and I watch them closely to make sure they don't pee anywhere thay shouldn't. Must take Earl in one day to meet the kids though - have had a few family pets in to visit the classroom - including a litter of puppies. Would love to be in job where I could take them :D
  2. Grrr - gremlins - double post
  3. I would like to be involved in this - my sister is the crafty one in our family though but I am willing to give this a go :D
  4. Sunday 6th June - Main Street Eastwood - map is in original post
  5. Phoebe - run free over the bridge and watch over your family Baifra - it was not your fault - it was just a tragic accident - hugs to you and yours at this sad time
  6. Oooh - I have some to add Quasikelpie It's all fun and games till someone loses a head Nyah nyah Earl doesn't even have to try - he just is funny......
  7. Absolutely - Banshee is a sweetie and Shannon was rapt - I was pleased to get a snuggle from her too yellowgirl - I would love a copy of the photo - and you are welcome to use any Shannon photos on DOL - I give my blanket permission :p
  8. Thanks for this - we also ran Bridget out of some colours of fur she sent an email with other choices and I am sure the tugs will look excellent
  9. Will do that next time - hopefully it will be effective
  10. I will keep an eye out for it down the club and hope the owner doesn't listen to the other, back yard breeding mum. Shannon was in love
  11. No - I threw out the Wilderblu prefix as I knew that one was from SA - but she then said they didn't have any and she needed the pup for her sons birthday The pup had spots on her legs too - is this typical of a purebred black and white BC? BYB methinks?
  12. She was from somewhere near Pt Augusta - didn't get a prefix though I suppose with the running unleashed I was worried because there were a lot of people around and the grounds are next to an off leash park and I see lots of dogs walking through - she stayed pretty close to the kid though - thank goodness
  13. Bit like I felt - didn't want to go on a rant and alienate these mums She was a lovely little BC girl too - fingers crossed they have her desexed - i will keep working gently on the owner when I see her
  14. Went to kids footy training last night - my 8 year old sees a young border collie - asks the owner id she can pat it - things are going well - happy puppy - happy child ;) - asks the owner the casual question - "Is she purebred?" Yup - from a breeder in SA - $600 without papers - 1000 with - so she is unpapered Still pretty happy with the conversation till another mum jumps in with "Even without papers - if you breed her you can still get your money back" - then goes on to say that she intends to cross her French Mastiff X Bull Mastiff boy with a purbred Bull Mastiff because they have longer noses than the French Mastiff. And that this is OK because he is a Purebred French MAstiff x with a Purebred Bull mastiff - WTF By this time I am trying to work out how to remove myself from the situation without saying something I will regret - so when the son comes over and says "Can I take the dog for a run" I take the opportunity to move away - Mum takes the collar off of the 18 week old BC pup and lets it run out onto the footy field with 9 year old son - unleashed - uncollared *sigh* ;) And tonight my daughter says her school friend brought her puppies in that she is selling for $200 each - asked her what they are - her answer "Schnitzel crosses"
  15. Luckily my OH wears earplugs so doesn't hear anything from the dogs - which was also a motivating factor in crate training becasue I was the one who was woken up by the dogs at night Our kelpie is almost 2 and we are working up to zipping up her crate at night - she happily sleeps in it with the door open though
  16. Bugger - was so hoping for better news - but sending healing vibes to Tyson - he is a stunning boy
  17. No worries - the way Rosie was behaving was a pain in the bum - crabby little sod!!!
  18. I had never crate trained a dog before and really - it was only when I went to a training day when I knew that my dog would need to be crated - that I bought a crate and started training him - now he sleeps in it all night - with the door closed - we can leave the bedroom door open and our other dog also has a crate that she is sleeping in - her door is still open as we have just started training her - but eventually they will both be in their crates at night. Also gives us an option at other places. My OH isn't happy - thinks I'm locking them up - but hey - what would he know - and he is coming round to it now seeing how content they are
  19. Sending healing thoughts and hugs to Tyson and his family and hoping that karma catches up with the thoughtless, gutless morons who own the other dogs :D
  20. Have mine lit here too - and will continue to do so - sending healing thoughts with each flicker of the candle
  21. Run free Magnus - send your strength to your mum and watch over her with the others from your loving family ;)
  22. Came home tonight to read through all the updates - lighting a candle for all - and sending all our hope and love.
