  1. I would second the inside in a crate - taking it outside and teaching a word for toilet advice too - I did it with our Bloodhound and it certaily makes life easier

  5. I have a Bloodhound I get tired of the "What is he?" - "He's only HOW old?" and I got the "Got a saddle for it" comment for the first time *Sigh* Oh - and the "Aw - he looks sad" - he isn't - the sod just plays on it for sympathy

I took Earl ( 8 month bloodhound) in to meet my class of 10 year olds - they loved him and it was a valuable opportunity to teach them about dogs and what to do - we took it 3 at a time to meet him at first - he sat on 2 of them to get more cuddles and rolled over for belly rubs for another couple
  14. I've trained my kids particularly my daughter who loves dogs - she will automatically ask "Can I pat your dog" and doesn't mind if they say no This is her getting Frosty kisses (after being properly introduced)

  16. Damn - this was looking so good too - so - more cute fluffy little Malamute puppies dumped in pounds as soon as they get a bit bigger and actually need some attention and work put into them - bl**dy morons

On the roof!! haven't quite got that one yet - but the kelpie has nice stripes along her back at times Oh yeah - gotta love them - Earl got me a good one right up the sleeve of my jacket as we left the house for a walk - I have seen myself putting my dressing gown on to walk out the back to get in my car to go to work so he doesn't Earl my work clothes
  21. Earl just drools - we have a new word in our house "Earled" - as in "You've been Earled" "Eeeeeek - he just Earled me" Here is a picture of him - just after a drink but still show his efforts

Sarah @ petshaven Was looking through the petrescue and came across this gorgeous bloodhound girl - poor thing - 16 months old - have posted in Rescue but thought I would try General too She was fostered but now her fosterer can't keep her - she needs to find a home - she is good with other dogs and cats - and with older kids - she is a big dog (as I know - Bloodhounds are not the most graceful of doggies - but sooo cute) So wish I could help this girl - fingers crossed - anyone want a Bloodhound????
